On this episode we highlight some of the features of our 37x12.50r17 Radar tires wrapped around our 17 inch rocktrix wheels (link in amazon shop). We also show you how they have held up over time and talk about their performance on the road, mud, and snow. If you are new to rugged terrain tires, they are a hybrid between all terrain and mud terrain, giving you the best of both worlds without the crazy loud mud terrain sound. They also have a 45,000 mile warranty which is pretty insane!

Another great video! Always fun and informative!! I also loved the body heating workout at the start!!!
Glad you liked it!! Thank you for your support!
You two look like you are always having fun, nice. Those tires are holding up, I will look into them when I'm due for a new set, cheers!
They are! Thank you for your support!@
thank you both great how to videos. I did the 3inch budget lift on 2013 jku sport s looks killer drives great
Awesome! Glad we could help!
I have BF Goodrich K02's and I've driven 20k miles, they still look new. They also have side wall protection. Love them.
Good to know!
I just love your videos. Plane down to home couple.
Yay! Thank you!
Love you guys thanks for the videos
Appreciate you!
Hi right on I'm going to look for those tires at home hear. I do a lot of driving all day. Like lots . Thanks pat .
Sweet!
Hard to believe they have that kind of mileage on them, they still looks NEW! 🤙🏼🤙🏼
Right?! Let's see how they do over time!
Come up to Bald Mountain about 3-4 hours away . Will defiantly be an awesome meetup .
That would be awesome! PRetty far for us though
Front and rear lockers can be why you where sliding in the TJ. If they both are on it can be tricky to drive in the snow and ice. Just a thought.
Ahh I see! Good call! Both front and rear were activated!
Really liking those tires.
Glad you like them!
Beautiful tires man, amd of course bad ass jeep. Sorry but in your video you said they were 37x13.5 but on the discrimination said 37x12.5 just trying to verify which ones were they. They definitely look like 13.5 but just wanna know for future reference of my own. Thanks 🙏🏻
What the current mileage to those tires thinking of getting some pretty soon thanks.
Just curious what is the glare mat on the hood? Looks pretty thick.
Go to Hungry Valley, lots of different things to do from easy to moderate.
We love it up there
I like how either one or you can say meguiars and you do videos, also is Alli available for bokiing?
hmmm,
I have a friend who has a large social media following that was offered a Brand Ambassador roll for Radar. He wanted to try them for a trial run before fully committing.
On road...nothing to write home about but not exactly a deal breaker either. Wheeling wise...not so much. I had met up with him at the local offroad park a couple of days into the initial shakedown run and to put it bluntly, he was struggling on obstacles that he's wheeled dozens of times. He honestly looked like he never wheeled a day in his life. Needless to say, he declined the offer. But just because they did not suit his needs doesn't necessarily mean they wouldn't be a suitable option for someone else, most likely someone that isn't likely to air them down to crawl rocks.
Got it! We love our set!
I actually worked in a hospital for 32 years til the hospital closed it’s doors for good so I have many many doctor jokes to keep you laughing for a long time.
Btw your grille is a hawk grille not angry bird. Love your grille. I’m thinking of ordering one.
Yes! We have a full episode on it! Check it out :)
@@Garagecouple can you send link to that episode?? Love to see it.. 👍
2 sec faster on the phone then tv lol
Hahaha!
Оооо! Девченка привет,прекрасно выглядишь! рад вас видеть ребята,вы как всегда молодцы,болдею от ваших классных машин,супер!
🍺
I was wondering how those did in the snow. They honestly look like they wouldn't be too good just because of the lack of siping. Did you guys encounter any ice as well or just fresh snow?
So they are long lasting, durable, get decent traction, and are quiet - I might be looking at a set down the road for my TJ, haha!
We encountered ice and snow, and they did terrific. Literally could not ask for anythign more. Yes, thinking these will be our go to tires forever
The toyo open country a/t 2 s come with a 65,000 treadware warranty! witch is what I’m running , but great video ! Sucks about your tire carrier!
Thanks for your comment, wow that's crazy! But at 2x the price I guess that's great news!
@garage couple How are the tires now after 2 years . I’m looking at purchasing these for my 2004 ram 3500 . Did they get near the 45k before buying new ones?
They did not. They lasted about 20k
How wide are those rims? 9 inch or 8.5?
We still have the stock BFG mud tires. We need an upgrade I was thinking something not that big but maybe 32 or 34, any recommendations for those?
Would 100% recommend these radar tires. I'd go rugged terrain, great road manner and aggressive tread. Would do 35s though :)
what is the true size of those?
You might want to do a chalk test, it looks like they’re wearing in the middle. You might have them over inflated
Yes
Good idea!
I couldn't help but notice, is one fog light upsidedown? Look at the two fog lights. One looks awkward lol.
Yes it does! ITS because the holes in the bumper are not perfect
Did you re-gear it for the 37s I wanted to put 37s but wasn’t sure if it would be ok on my JKU
We reheated to 4.88 after about 1k miles
2014 jeep Wrangler 3rd
Nice!
How are your rock trix wheels holding up? Do they scratch easy.
Holding up great. Surprisingly resilient to scratches. They have a hefty powder coat on them
this video was 2 years ago but how many miles did you get out of the Radar Renegades?
We still have them, they have a few k miles left but about 30k miles
Aloha from paradise, If I'm correct you were running stock 3.73 before going bigger...what gearing are you running now with the bigger tires...Mahalo
Hi! Mahalo! We went over to 4.88 and absolutely love it. Lost a few MPG but well worth it!
@@Garagecouple Lol, just a quick language lesson..."Mahalo" means "Thank You" in the Hawaiian language...
@@hawaiianshakasanta Mahalo for your support!!
I like your fence
Thank you! We designed it ourselves!
How are theses tires holding up?
They're holding up good. We keep rotating them every 3k miles and so far so good
Renegade RT or RT +plus ? Tks!
Either one is a great option!
Seems like you just got them not to long ago .Time flies I geuss!!!
Yes it does!
Why does the man talk funny? Great truck paint design
Any update on how the tires are doing?
Doing great! Wearing evenly!
@@Garagecouple How many miles do you have on the tires now? Have they increased in loudness at all while driving down the road?
25k miles + and no. They sound the same. Still very quiet
@@Garagecouple awesome, thanks!
👏🏻
Cheers!
do u post videos of off roading?
Hopefully soon!
72 comments showing: your front end is completely blocked air wise, so only way to help airflow wise is scoop from underneath.
I was looking to replace my Patagonias which I felt didn't live up to the hype so I came across a used set of 5 - 37" Radar R/T on FB Marketplace for $400 with less than 300 miles. I figured, what the heck, can't go wrong for the price. I even managed to get them to give em up for $350.
Didn't take long for me to realize why the seller wanted to get rid of them for so cheap with low miles, plus the reason they're warrantied for 40k miles and last forever...because the compound is hard as hell. I had to run them at 28 psi for them to feel half decent. As mediocre as I thought the Patagonias were, these made those feel like legit premium tires.
Being that y'all don't have the time to go offroading & can't really speak on how they perform offroad, allow me...these things are so hard, even aired down to 8 psi the felt and looked like they were aired up. Trying to wheel with these things were hellacious. Long story short, they ended up right back where I found them & the guy I sold them to, sold them within a month. 4 owners in 6 months.
There's no shortage of reviews on multiple FB Jeep groups which reiterate what my thoughts on them are. I suppose they'll suffice for mallcrawling, probably better suited for street trucks with stretched tires on deep dish rims but as far wheeling goes...run.
Interesting! Ours are super soft! I'd say about as soft as the mileatars. Very very malleable compound. Maybe it was a bad set you got?
Did you guys see both my doctor jokes? 😎
Was pretty epic. Gave us a laugh!
41 & Mount & Do r the number & code word of the video/day.
admitted 3rd code word of the day & red white & blk camo still boldy in my face.
1 in 10k looking not found reference & went 10k miles. Smarter than avg bear & sync-ed up brain waves helps.
Yeah v/unwell 3817 or 1738 & HE said can give ME unlimited strength, think Christ? Butglorified will b more than "hung" not aging enough^.
English joke.
The past, present and future all walk into a bar.
It was tense..
HAHAHAHA
Your running with to much air pressure
The tire hair should ware evenly and almost all of your miles are on pavement lower air pressure to around 28 psi or lower maybe 25 and rotate tires including your spare every 4 or 5 thousand miles you will get more than 45 k doing this
Appreciate the feedback! We run the recommended air pressure from the tire manufacturers. Just give the manufacturer a call and ask what they recommend. Do this for each tire we run!
@@Garagecouple tire manufactures do not live in the REAL WORLD
lower the tire pressure and rotate properly just try it you will see the difference
your tires are going to ware prematurely
I disagree. They test the tires in the real world way before they even release them. They spend actual money researching it and paying others to report back to them. 🍺
