I don't know how he manages to outdo himself every time, spectacular cover. Like you said, he made it his own while staying true to the original. Calling it better than the original would be going over the top, but it's definitely just as good in it's own right. Sound quality is better in Tommy's cover, of course, since the original was recorded LONG time ago, but overall I love both versions
When I saw Tommy's teasing comment yesterday with the name of the song, which I never listened, I rushed to hear it. Then when I played his, I was like "hey, it's the same, but remastered !". Glad we have the same advice ! @giventoe I have a new routine now on Fridays : 1 : Original for remind, and/or culture 2 : Tommy for some mind-blowing (he's like a drug, man) 3 : Giventoe for this moment of fun and craziness just you can give us ! Double reaction means double the fun! Tony Martin (criminally underrated) has a most powerful deep voice while our Tommy is more light and angelic. So they are not alike at all. You could say that they are both fenomenal in their own way! The song tempo is pretty similar in both versions. However I feel that Tommy has a more spooky musical arrangement. And thats a big plus! After all: this is a song that deals with death, superstition, Satan and witches! Honorary mention today goes to our Giventoe who made his intro 1. dressed in black 2. wore sunglasses indoors 3. was engulfed by blue flames Thats a true rockstar!

I lje the idea of a double reaction here because I never heard the version of Black Sabath and you are right. Tony is fantastic...but Tommy's version. I mean, covering a legend and Black Sabath are, is always risky...but not for Tommy. He claimed it. Again. I don't want to say anything bad of the original and I really can't. So damn cool to use dialect in the first verse. This song is so damn good in the original with Tony Martin. The drum sound absolutely magical. Have asked many cover bands to play this song when I'm abroad but they don't get the sound or the vocals aren't enough. so damn well done

Hello David, have a great concert tonight. The Västerås concert was really awesome 🤘🤘. I definitely prefer Tommy's version despite that BS version is really good (wasn't familiar with before though). Tommy is just so freakin goood. I saw one of Tommy's vlog post from the last couple of days. Tommy was sitting in the front of the tour bus, it was late and it was obvious that was really tired. Nobody would blame him if he took some time off and skipped doing a video for a week or two, but no he sat there late at night editing a video (basically for us).

Perhaps for Tommy this was too easy. Tony Martin sang it well enough, no improvement necessary. Personally, I never liked Richie's guitar work, mostly it was palatable with the 80s hits and certainly BS are great as they weathered time and change. Tommy always lends a bit to the solos, nice review, however animated.
