    True about the length. I figured, about 60 seconds is a perfect teaser - even for an episode promo - to create from it a square 60-second audiogram video that is short enough to fit perfectly for Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. Instagram's video limit is 60 second. So it's good to stick to the length to have one teaser for all social networks. I basically create such videos for every episode as final step in production and promote it socially.

    GREAT vid - so helpful! I liked the Rob Lowe trailer. I think that would work best for a new season since he's got content to pull from to drop in.The Dreamful was quite succinct - you immediately knew what they were about. Buzzcast was useful because over time we DO review our biz models. Thanks!

    Tell the users that if a trailer and an episode is wanted it requires two uploads: one for the episode, one for the trailer. Otherwise, users can believe a trailer is made from the published episode automatically. No, editing an episode replaces content.

    *You've spent around 4 minutes saying the podcast trailers should be 30-60 seconds, but the examples you gave of trailers in the description box are full podcasts. They are not trailers. Where are the examples of the trailers?*

      Hey Avis! A good trailer doesn't have to be longer that 30-60 seconds, but it certainly can be. The podcasts we linked to are good examples of the kind of content you want to put into your podcast trailer, even if they're longer than 60 seconds. Does that make sense?

      @@Buzzsprout I’ve been intimidated by making this trailer. I really liked your structure. Would you recommend writing it all out and then reading it as naturally as possible?

    How do I determine who my podcast is not for?

    • @Buzzsprout
      @Buzzsprout  Před 8 měsíci

      Great question! Instead of who it's not for, consider who it perfectly resonates with. Define your ideal listener, their interests, and what problems your podcast solves for them. I hope that helps!

    Hiya, thanks for these tips. Just a quick question from me. All of the podcast trailers you’ve attached at the bottom are longer than 30-60 seconds. So I take it that rule isn’t essential?

    • @Buzzsprout
      @Buzzsprout  Před 4 lety

      It's not necessarily a rule but more of a tip that it doesn't have to be very long, 30-60 seconds is completely fine as long as you build the right amount of anticipation for the episode dropping.
