Intercontinental Shanghai Wonderland, an Eco-friendly Hotel Built in an Abandoned Quarry

#RemarkableConstruction Constructed by CSCEC, the Intercontinental Shanghai Wonderland is the world's first eco-friendly hotel built in an abandoned quarry. The entire hotel hangs virtually upside down in the giant, deep Tianma Pit. Thanks to imaginative design, waste has been turned into treasure.
The construction team spent 12 years building the hotel from 88 meters below ground to ground level, obtaining over 40 patents along the way. The minute it reached the horizon, it became a landmark that drew global attention.
