  • Watch my brother take my 2018 Ford S-Max 2.0 TDCi around the Nürburgring Nordschleife in less than 10 minutes. He knows this track very well but isn't used to a big heavy car like this. Still he managed to get it around in a very respectable 9 min 57sec and you can easily see that he gets more and more confident with the car throughout the lap. So I think he could do even better next time...
The car is all standard, with standard brakes and standard suspension. Being a ST-Line model it is lowered 10 mm. from factory and this thing handles really well. It has tons of grip and it's just unbelievable fun for a car this type. Ford really knows how to make a car "Fun to drive”.
Before this lap I did 5 laps myself, but the brakes never showed any signs of fading or shaking, and it’s all stock. Very impressive for a car with a curb weight of 1850 kg + 4 adults and a lot of crap in the boot.
I apologize for all the noises of things moving around in this video, but it wasn’t really prepared for track use 🤣
The chassis could easily have managed a lot more power than the 180 BHP and 400 NM brings to the table, and it struggles a lot up the hill from Bergwerk, but as a daily driver with the possibility of carrying 7 people or half of the local IKEA, while still being extremely comfortable and good on fuel economy, it's impossible to beat 🏁

This video contains chapters according to the named corners at the Nürburgring, so it might be helpfull for people who wants to learn the track a bit better - ads my brother is also an excellent instructor.
We are speaking danish in this video, but English subtitles are available.
    Have fun!
REMEMBER: The Nordschleife is a closed circuit with local regulations. You should never drive like this in real traffic.

I had to come here after seeing mishas video. You did the right thing owning up to it and apologising. Very respectful.
And by the way, getting a sub 10 minute lap in a diesel minivan is very impressive. Lol

Alright, so I just watched Micha's video and ended up here after, I'm not here to argue on your driving but holding up faster cars in turns where you could've stayed on the right is way better for everyone
