  • Airports are always full of passengers rushing around, trying to get checked in and through security in time to board their flight. Passing through security should normally be fairly quick, unless you have contraband in your luggage. For one rushing couple, at Fiumicino Airport in Rome, forgetting you have a few jars of pesto in your bag, can really make catching your flight a bit trickier.
Airport Security: Rome, part of the Airport Nightmares Weekend, 7th-8th August, on National Geographic UK. 📺
Available to watch in the UK on Sky (129), Virgin Media (266), BT (317), TalkTalk (317), NOW TV & TV Player
    About Airport Security: Rome:
At Rome’s Fiumicino Airport, security personnel work around the clock to keep Italy’s busiest airport free of criminal activity. Italian State Police tackle drug trafficking and illegal immigration at this gateway to Italy and the European Union and a crack security team remain alert for signs of thieves in the airport’s expansive shopping areas. Illegal drugs, fake passports and purloined perfume: it’s all in a day’s work at Fiumicino.

It's their fault. Why didn't they remove the restricted items from their baggages?
