  • Quick video reviving this rider quality Z50r! I always like to get them back to original quality and keep the paint original with all its bumps and bruises. It gives the bike some character. This bike has been sold and is currently being enjoyed by two kids and I am sure their dad out in Tennessee!

Definitely, black just doesn’t do anything for the bike. Silver ties it all together!

I have an ‘83 and want to do everything you did. Was hoping to follow along and use as instruction - you don’t have footage of actually pulling the tires apart, working on carburetor etc? Would love to learn from this. Nice job! Looks awesome - thanks in advance

thanks for the videos with the z50r ,
I picked up a 79 in rough shape, having trouble locating parts. seat, fenders, and other misc .
Can you suggest a few websites or places to look for things please?

Did you paint the wheels? If so, what color did you use?

Yes, I did repaint them. I believe on this bike I used the original Honda Cloud Silver spray paint. That paint can be ordered online but has become pretty expensive.
Recently I have been using Rust-Oleum Appliance Epoxy Stainless Steel. It goes on really well and is a close match to the original color.
One other option I have used in the past is Rust-Oleum Painters Touch 2x Aluminum Metallic. It's a bit brighter and has more of a shine to it in the sun.
