Beyond brilliant. How did she not get a turn. She did not miss a note. Her tone in regular voice is gorgeous. Astonished it did not resonate. The girl has a great energy. I hope she both finds and brings joy in her future. I have no doubt she will. Meanwhile we all have this 2 minutes of greatness to return to. Thank you Liv.

First audition video i ever disliked.
I think what people, including the judges, missed was the fact that this is a LIVE audition and the singer was manipulating her voice to sound like that. It was not sped up as if it were a recording.

Interview de Liv dans Première, 10/02/2014.
"J'ai fait le casting de The Voice l'été dernier avec ma vraie voix. Je n'ai pas été retenue. Quelques semaines plus tard, j'ai publié sur mon compte CZcams une vidéo dans laquelle je chantais avec une voix bizarre juste pour m'échauffer. Le directeur de casting l'a vue. Il m'a rappelée et m'a dit qu'il voulait que je chante comme ça devant les coachs. Je n'ai pas trop eu le temps de réfléchir. Soit j'acceptais, soit je ne passais pas à la télé. Finalement, j'ai décidé de tenter le coup avec Let it be." commente la jeune demoiselle. Cette vidéo qui a tapé dans l'oeil de la production, la voici, Liv reprend le légendaire "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" de Bob Dylan avec cette fameuse voix: Si elle ne regrette en aucun cas d'avoir osé, Liv concède qu'elle aurait aimé montré davantage sa voix. D'autant qu'elle révèle que la production a coupé un passage au terme de sa prestation : "Après, les coachs m'ont demandé de chanter Let it be avec ma voix normale. Et là, Garou et Florent Pagny n'arrêtaient pas d'essayer de buzzer et ils disaient 'Mais pourquoi, on n'a pas appuyé...' Ça m'a fait plaisir!" indique-t-elle
Thank you Anne el Khoury, for sharing her words in that interview, for us to know the real story behind the curtains. I loved her performance and the rebelious spirit with which she interpreted it. To me, it's a tribute to the spirit of the song. Even more, when she's doing that in front of such a big audience, facing rejection in big numbers, and in front of 4 influential, skeptic, professional judges that are expecting to be 'enchanted', 'seduced'. What a talented, unique and genius interpretation. I believe that if she had started the first 2-3 sentences normal and then turned, instead of the reverse, she may not have confronted such strong resistance in the judges, and maybe they wouldn't have feared being defied or disrespected, just surprised and knocked their socks off by such young talented girl, which is what she just did from start to finish. Who knows. It takes talent to come up with such interpretation. All in all, one of the top 10 auditions ever. But, wait, oh, yes, perhaps Liv would say "don't take it that seriously, have some fun, enjoy life and let it be". Whatever. She definitely is mesmerizing. You rock, Liv. Thank you for these 2 minutes that left a brilliant imprint. Wish you the best wherever you are.
Comme quoi elle aurait dû désobéir au directeur de casting, qui cherchait finalement une bête de foire. Ou alors simplement coupé en deux sa prestation, une partie déconnante, et une partie plus classique et maîtrisé.
