Japan Airlines New Flagship A350-1000 Delivery

- Japan Airlines (JAL) has taken delivery of its first A350-1000 from Airbus’ delivery center in Toulouse, France. The A350-1000 is set to become the airline’s new international aircraft, I toured their new flagship aircraft.
Before the delivery ceremony, I visited the Airbus Final Assembly Line (FAL) of the A350 with a quick look at the production of the A350. This was followed by the delivery ceremony which showcased the new Japan Airlines A350-1000.
In First Class, the new seating arrangement features 6 suites. Just 3 suites per row in a 1-1-1 configuration, each First Class suite features a double seat and bed. In Business Class, there are 54 private suites with doors, and the seat can convert into a bed of 198cm long.
The Premium Economy cabin (24 seats) features large partitions to improve privacy significantly. It is also the first Premium Economy Class in the world to introduce electrically operated recline functionality. JAL A350-1000 has one of the most spacious legrooms in Economy Class (33-34 inches pitch).
Japan Airlines A350-1000 will be initially flying on the Tokyo Haneda - New York JFK route. It has a total of 13 A350-1000 on order to replace the B777-300/ER fleet.
Watching this after seeing the JL516 A350 involved in the landing accident at HND on January 2, 2024. Salute to the JAL crew!!!

Maybe so but I found Japanese people to be a little discriminatory..Maybe a little Rascist you could say..I'm Brown Asian..I'm Born in UK but of Bangladeshi Ethnicity and when I went I got stared at a lot and when I went to the subway and sat down on a seat, although the train was packed with people no one came and sat either side beside me which I found strange..I didn't smell and had my best fragrance on and i wasn't rude to anyone and smiled at whoever started at me but I got dirty looks back
@@atikulhussain7614 Perhaps you sat on a seat reserved for disabled people or old people? In the subway, everyone keeps these seats emptied even when the car is packed. Sorry for you bad experience.
@@atikulhussain7614 it was about you being foreign, ie non Japanese. They are not racist, their homogenous culture is not comfortable with somebody who is different. They would also avoid sitting next to a Japanese person with pink hair or loads of piercings. I grew up there and the vacant seat next to a foreigner has been going on for years. In my daily life there I never experienced malicious racism.

Most of 787 are in that configuration already

3-3-3- is standard for Economy on an A350.
Almost all airlines use that layout for A350 ... that's why it has the most comfy Y class after A380

OMG this just oozes class, luxury & comfort. Really well done to JAL. They are fully on par with, if not higher, than the other few premium airlines cabins. And it’s its crazy that the -1000 model, that is sooo long just has 239 seats! As Sam said, it really is a Super Premium layout showing JAL do care for their passengers comfort

I worked for JAL in the 80s/90s when they were industry leaders. After some difficult years I'm so pleased to see them leading the way again and also their premium hard product now up there with the best ❤
My jaw dropped watching this video. 😮 All four classes of service have the best seats that I have ever seen. JAL has thrown down the gauntlet; now let's see how other premium carriers respond. 👏👏👏
Japan is the most polite country I've visited. Their culture is based on manners, respect and not offending others. A model country in that regard for sure and reflected in JAL's choice of the premium economy seat.

yeah he's resspectful because the airlines pay him to do this stuff. he's fake. he never flies a real economy experience and all the airlines know when he's onboard they put on an A+ game so that he advertises them as a good airline. @@robertovdloos
@@robertovdloos I defenitely agree with you although i would replace "a few others" with something like "almost anyone on earth thats fit to fly" lol. If someone get asked to do what Sam's doing i cannot really think of any reason why people wouldn't accept such an amazing offer other then the people who are afraid of flying (not the best idea for them.. haha) and a few very unfortunite people who just simply aren't able to fly due to medical related reasons (sadly).
PS: Not to underestimate his job tho... might seem lovely (and can't really see why it wouldn't be) but it's also quite easy said by people from the outside with these type of jobs which look incredible from the outside and many probably would do it even for free (let alone earn more then average)
We often don't see/know everything that happens without the camera running ofourse..... BUT i would take it anyday anytime tho for sure lol.

Ever since McDonell Douglas withdrew from the commercial aircraft market, JAL had been dealing exclusively with Boeing. It is certainly a breath of fresh air to see them working with Airbus to this degree. The New York route is where they showcase their best equipment and this does not disappoint.

I'm in love with this A350-1000 and it's beautiful from inside and outside. What a lovely lady she is with a big heart to accommodate all types of guests and taking care of everyone. Galley is the best part they have done. Cabin crew will be much happier to move around more swiftly and deliver more delicacies and happiness. I am sure Sam is on the first flight ;)

As someone who usually travels on German bullet trains, I was also shocked recently on a longhaul flight, when the person in front of me reclined their seat, to the point that it forcefully halfway closed my laptop.
So that's a very thoughtful seat design indeed.

There's no question the Japanese are the supreme humans when it comes to class and culture and respect for each other. It's signified in this aircraft and they have done an outstanding job. Airbus should be complemented for making a beautiful airplane.
