Well done Carol you're going great guns. Good video not sure about the music Mr Flyer😂😂😂
Just FYI it's Carole with an "E" by the way - she gets funny about that....
Oops will remember for next time👍
Crunch from Carole and the end😂 . No rush, but personally, I'd try n get the bike test done, not to change the bike or anything, just so you can forget about CBT. Bikes look 👌 sandwiches looked and sounded 😋 👌. Take care, stay safe 👍
When my wife started learning to ride, she chose the Kawasaki KZ125. She loved that little bike. She progressed really fast, faster than I thought she would. Now, a couple of years down the line, she has a Harley Street Bob and an R 1250GS. Glad to Mrs. Flyer out and riding! Cheers, you guys!
Cool outcome!
Becareful Mr Flyer , once the bug trully bites Mrs Flyer you won't see your GS again 😊
Being on a small bike is one thing and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. The only negative is really that as a 125 rider you're not undertaking the next stage of training with DAS and optionally IAM or ROSPA. The level of training with the CBT is too minimal for long-term riding. Enjoy the start of your riding career Mrs F 👍
Great to see you guys out riding together 😎😎
Great little catchup with Mrs Flyer's biking. As said, so long as she's enjoying riding locally, what's the rush. That toasted sandwich looked to be worth the rideout on it's own too.
Well done Carol, you can always have a lesson on a bigger bike just too see how it feels because you look really settled on the road . Mr flyer the Enfield looks great
Cheers Jon!
Cheers for the update guys, and as you rightly say it’s all about the enjoyment of the ride.
Well done Carol, you are doing great, lovely lines through the lanes.
Takes me back to when I was learning, just this side of the ice age. Lovely feeling. Keep enjoying the freedom Mrs TMF!!!
Keep it up Carole. Good to see you’re enjoying it. Stay safe.
Excellent news, good to see Carol is still riding and enjoying getting out on the 125, best wishes from another Carol (from Banditmanuk)
cheers Carol! Though mine’s a Carole….
Brilliant episode! Well done one the riding! It’s all about the enjoyment x
Well done you Mrs.Flyer, keep it up, you're doing great! 👍👍
Nice to see you enjoying the bike Mrs F, thats what its all about at the end of the day and no rush to rake a test. It was different back in rhe 80's when I started as you had 2 years to pass the part 1 and part 2, failure to do so got you a 12 month ban! The Suzuki looks like a cracking little bike too 👍
Great stuff. Many advantages to having a lightweight bike. All the best with the riding.
Loving the channel as always, great to see Mrs Flyer having a great time on her bike and keeping Mr Flyer honest!
Thanks 👍
Hats off to Mrs Flyer for taking a sensible approach to her riding, and for getting her priorites right: "Can I eat it now?" 😋
I loved the music. Great video and well done Carol. Always great to see you get out on the bike.
Thanks for watching and for the kind comment!
Love hearing about your bike journey. I started around the same time, have the same bike, done the same amount of CBT tests and following the same pathway and doing many of the same road trips as you as we are local so you have us great ideas for trips. Don't give up.
Good stuff!
I like the subtle change in the sign off ‘The Missenden Flyer’s’! Well done Sir!
Well spotted!
Great to see Carol out an enjoying her bike and as she said no rush to do her test. Do it in your own time and when you're ready. Take care both and ride safe
Well done Mrs Flyer. Enjoy your riding!
Nice to see Mrs F doing so well. Keep it up...
We were in that neck of the woods a couple of weeks ago on a holiday based at the Bull in Gerrards Cross (no apostrophe!) but we had glorious weather, and up here in Cheshire it still is glorious! On the Sunday before your video we were sampling the preserved railways north of the Chilterns (including the Chinnor & Princes Risborough), and some Network Rail lines as well. We passed through Benson twice. We (26 of us) were in a 52 seater coach but there were plenty of bikers out and about in the area. The day before your video we had a river cruise from Marlow down to Windsor in fabulous weather enjoying complimentary G&Ts from the boat's bar. Even saw Michael Parkinson relaxing in his riverside garden!
Mrs Flyer is quite right to be in no hurry - just enjoy the bike!
Sounds like you had a good trip - I forget it's actually quite nice around here.....(I'm not far from Gerrards Cross)
Awesome ! Good to see Mrs Flyer enjoying biking. That is the most important part.
Absolutely!
Thanks for the update. Your Enfield looks really nice.
Thank you! I think so too...
Thanks for the update TMF. Looking forward to your ABF pub quiz and talk slots 👍👍😀
I'm pleased to hear that - at least there'll be one in the audience!! I'm open to bribery on the quiz by the way.....
Good for both of you, Andy!
🏍👍🏍
Thanks 👍
@@TheMissendenFlyer 😎
Great stuff, you two. Nice to see mrs F out on the bike. The Enfield is looking and sounding good, too! 😉 Also, have to say, particularly loved the editing in this one - I thought the musical interludes worked really well.
Thanks! 👍
Thank you Mr and Mrs Flyer, cracking video, great to see Mrs F doing very well, and as she said no rush that is perfect, if you are enjoying what you are doing and having fun then that is what it’s all about, 🤞 for a lovely summer, one more thing can I just say the lunch stop looked amazing as did the food, would of been nice for your review marks at the end of your video.😂 Keep up the great work and happy, fun riding to Mrs F. 🏍️ 😊
Awesome Vlog Mr and Mrs Macfly. I like it.
Great update Andy, well done Mrs F go at your pace 👍😉😎😎
Liked this little catch up and the crunch was worth waiting for! 😂
Enjoyed that Andy, great to see Carol out riding again 👏
John John John - it's CarolE - you'll be in trouble now mate.....
Carol is a natural in front of the camera, great idea to bring her "onboard" (her input was brill on your America/Canada epic series) She's doing it the right way.
Great to See Mrs Flyer enjoying herself, no point doing it otherwise. Hope to see you both at ABR.
You certainly will David - come and say Hi if (when) you see us mooching about....
Fair play, that does look like a large top box. Great to see couples doing a rideout.
Thanks 👍
Awesome guy's always nice to see your better half bud you should do more of your little ride outs very enjoyable cheers 👍🏻
Thanks 👍
Well done to Mrs. Carole, the best way to approach riding. No rush, take your time, all those simultaneous actions on the bike need to feel like walking or riding a bicycle. I wish that all the youngsters out there could have the same mentality as Mrs. F, it would drastically reduce the number of accidents for young riders. Cheers to both!
Greetings you two , love it. from Florida US
Greetings!
Well done Carole, glad you’re enjoying the 125, they are great fun😊
Late to the party but just watched the first vid on this bike and I must say you two know how to look after bikes! Still looks new! Watching lots of vids on the GSX at the mo because this is the one I've ordered after just passing my CBT and I'm now hooked to your channel haha
Glad to hear that!
Good stuff. Enjoy at your leisure. As my Grandma always used to say, "Make time for the butterflies in life."
I like the sound of that!
Hang in there Mrs Andy! Once riding a motorcycle becomes less daunting and intimidating, you’ll become an accomplished rider I’m sure! Ride safe, but keep riding! 👍💪🏍️😊🇿🇦🇬🇧
Good to see Mrs Flyer still enjoying riding. It's just a great thing in the summer to be able to do a joint ride to a local cafe. My partner wouldn't be without her top box either.
Good luck to Mrs Flyer when she does decide to do her test.
Cheers as ever Richard!
Enjoy your riding Carole. Do what feel’s best for you x
Well done Carol if you’re enjoying the riding that’s what it’s all about, 🏍👍
Absolutely
Great to Mrs Flyer out and I can really relate to the no rush learning as I'm having some confidence issues on the bike myself.
Don't forget Mr Flyer about Cassington Bike night on the 26th June
Yep we're planning to be there!
Mrs Flyer is a good rider ! Been taught well !
Glad to see Carole's progression. From the other side of the pond, I find the process interesting. Glad to see her out riding.
Thanks Mr. and Mrs. Flyer. Brilliant! It's so nice to see you and your missus out enjoying the bikes. Nice to hear that she's taking it steady and gaining confidence, next stop GS1250 eh? BTW the 'Enfield looking gorgeous as always. :>)
Glad you enjoyed it - and thanks!
As you say there is no rush for Carole to do her test. Just enjoy what your doing as im sure you two do. I love the end where you said " This has been the Missenden Flyer's"
I’m glad you spotted that!
Mrs Flyer sounds like she knows the score. Respect for not applying the pressure as so many do 👍
That’s great! Well done C .. “steady as she goes Cap’n.. look out for icebergs.. nothing to prove here.. “happy days guys👏💚
Nice looking 125 mrs fly got there more than capably of long journeys some riders go around uk on 125 the enfield looked nice aswell an your lunch nice review as always andy
Great little video Andy and as I mentioned on Instagram, it was nice to see you and Carol ride through Benson that day. I notice someone did mention that Pyrton is pronounced locally as Purrton.
The Waterfront cafe changed hands late last year I believe but all credit must go to original owner Chris Price, for taking it from a little convenience shop in a shed for boaters to making it what it is today.
Am I your sole viewer from Benson, surely not.
Who knows - maybe!! And yes the cafe is great - menu could do with an update though, I've been going there for a few years now and it hasn't changed at all....
Q . T . And obviously good natured . Suzuki every time . Thanks
Mrs Flyer looking great on the bike, riding with confidence!
Thanks 👍
Brilliant, go Mrs Flyer
I use my DR125 for all my local journeys but have taken it on a few longer journeys including a 400+ km round trip last December for the Millevaches Hivernale weekend camping trip. Sometimes there’s no need to take the bigger bike out of the garage.
great update on the riding - I got my 125 when I was 17 (aprilia RS125) - passed my test when I was 27 so about 20 years ago, I reckon extended riding on smaller capacity bikes makes you appreciate momentum and efficiency more than those who may have gone direct access > bigger bikes
I agree!
Great job Mrs F, you mentioned getting a bit flustered on occasion, when I was teaching my then girlfriend now wife to ride 4 years ago she would sometimes get in a bit of a flap about road positioning etc so we bought a cheap intercom set and it was absolutely priceless to help with her learning as I could calm her down and get her back on track, doesn’t look like you’re using one in the video, correct me if I’m wrong, but it made riding together much more fun and safer as whoever leads also gets to call surface hazards out 👍
She started with a cbr125 then moved on to a ninja 300 and now has a beautiful Daytona 675 and loves it more than she loves me 😂
We were on intercom - they are built into our Schuberth….
Reminds me of my first two bikes. First the Yamaha DT250 two stroke single enduro , then the Commuter Yamaha SR250 single. It's sensible to start off with smaller less powerful bikes , then if want build up.
Man, that RE looks great! Nice to see Mrs. F out riding.
Thanks 👍
Mrs Flyer looks happy 👌🏻😎 Hagon’s looking good 👌🏻😎
Hi both, very wise Mrs Flyer why rush the process, practise makes improvement, never perfect, and when you enjoy the riding you're doing that makes perfect sense, with no targets to heap pressure on yourself. Thank you. PS the music very trendy ha-ha, weirdly I think I enjoyed it.
Another great video 👍
My wife's done her cbt but isn't keen on taking her big bike test just yet so I bought her a Peugeot Metropolis 400cc which only needs a car licence and she loves it 😉
Nice one!
Well done 🏍️🏍️
Love the Waterfront Cafe at Benson. Recommended!
Brilliant episode with Carol
Glad you enjoyed it!
As long as your wife is happy without completing her licence all is good. Happy wife, happy life as they say. James from New Zealand
Enjoyment, thats all that matters!!
You're a very lucky man being able to share your biking passion with your good lady. I wish her every success with her test in 2024.....now I know why you were holding on to the Panigale😅. Both take care and ride safe.
I'm also taking the slow and steady approach. I really do enjoy it every time I go out, although I'm very much sill a beginner after 2 years. That Suzuki is a pretty nice looking bike, too.
Good stuff!
Nice! Exactly the type of riding I do with my wife (CB650R / Honda Monkey)
Whilst I agree there is no rush, the only way to learn is miles and miles and more miles, if you do those miles in a short space of time you learn more quickly, you've got to be keen though. Anyway from what I could see Carole was doing very well.
Lovely to See Mrs F. back on her bike. With the possible exception of touring, 125's can do most of the things I do on my T100.
I agree!! But let’s face it, a bit more power is nice!
Good stuff guys, I'm considering one of these Suzukis to teach my Mrs to ride too. They are special order in Australia but my local dealer has got a couple in which I hope to test ride in the next few days . . .
Well done Mrs F.
I got my license on January 27 2023, I first did my learners 2 day course in early December 2019.
I have put 25,000 km's on my LAM's approved BMW G310GS and agree whole heartedly, there is no rush. That's one of the things that struck me when I did my learners course, the instructor said, never be in a hurry to get anywhere on a motorcycle.
Well done Carol, keep on keeping on. Oooh, that crunch. Sounds really tasty. I want one.
Thank you 😋
You looked like you did ok mrs flyer👍
Awesome!
Beautiful ride that B4009! Enjoy!
Yes sure is!
Great update and tell Carol she looks great on the bike ... looks like she knows what she's doing. :)
I am also trying to convince my wife to learn and her interest varies from none to maybe so no real rush for her to even get started. That and the fact that she is short (maybe slightly shorter than Carol) has slowed her roll a bit.
Wouldnt mind one as a commuter , looks good
Well done Mrs Flyer
As Carole says it’s enjoying the ride and getting that instinctive feeling and confidence. I found that when she complains the bike feels slow she is ready to step up. There should be no time limit on it. 👍
Mrs. Flyer has the perfect attitude about riding, because if it isn't fun ,then it becomes a chore.
Both sweet bikes mate. i like those copies the fried rice folks make. Mutt or Mott or whatever they are called. Nice update thx
Suzuki looks great, I've got the Oxford heated grips on my Kawasaki SX, work great no issues been on the bike 6 years,
I was always told by my karate instructor,
Practice doesn't make perfect it makes permanent,
I got the message early on if you Practice wrong and continue to do so, it will always be wrong ,
Mrs Flyer has the right idea better just to enjoy the bike riding than push your self ,
Do the test when you feel more confident,
31,4°C today. Far too hot to ride. Even cycling was (too) hot.
Not possible to ride a motorcycle without a license in the Netherlands without an riding instructor.
She does a job. Nice and stable ride.
I was more in a rush because I wanted to have my license before summer so did my learning to drive a bike and the exams in 6 months
Good to see Mrs Flyer out on the bike again. I love 125's but they are a bit limited long term unless just doing short trips or commuting. I've just sold a 390Duke after 6 years which I think is a perfect size for a small bike that could do anything and you wouldn't really need a bigger bike being quick and capable of 100mph. 125's run out of puff about 70 so no fun on most faster roads.
Yes I agree 100% - I love the little Duke too….
She reminded me why I ride. Just enjoy it. Sometimes I feel bad because I don’t ride enough. Nice to have the Mrs. enjoy riding with you. My girl would kill herself. Nice casual video too. It’s why I watch my brother. Great. 👍
Thank you!
You're doing great Carole, just keep taking things at your own pace and find more ways to enjoy that wee bike and the ride! This is not a criticism of your riding, you look settled on the bike, but I have noticed on a couple of videos now, that your arms look pretty straight on the bars. That may be an ergonomics issue or just a camera angle thing. I'm sure Andy has already mentioned to you that you want a little bend in your arms for comfort and better fine control of steering input. Especially true in windy conditions on a bike weighing in just over a bag of sugar. Anyhoo, it's great to see you having fun on it 👍
Good on ya Carol 😊 it might be nice to get a 300cc~ for duel carriageways etc but the main thing is enjoyable riding.
She would have to pass her test first but hopefully she decides to do it at some point soon. It's a cbt every 2 years otherwise
well done Mrs Flyer................at your own pace.
Fair play Carol. No pressure. You look to be doing fine. My wife has been riding for years, had a break, then got a Yamaha 125 for a year before going back to a bigger bike. I thought the 125 was great fun. She now rides a Yamaha R3. We do the same as you guys, runs to Cafes, Although we are going to the Moto GP at Assen at the end of the month.
Sounds great - have a fun trip!
Great to see you both out and about together. Speeding laws around the world are far too conservative as are license requirements which detract people from going further with their development. Lovely to watch the UK and your stories from afar.
Where are you based then Steven?
