I remember back in the early 2000's I was in a suit in the subway on a Job interview in NYC. I saw a group of guys dancing so I started to get down. They were shocked to see a business man get down and rock the spot.

@@learner5090 I'm from Philadelphia but lived in New York City for many years. I'm an older guy now. My family lived in the Bronx and I saw breakdancing in it's initial years on the streets of New York City.

@@learner5090 Back in the day breakdancers would also perform on the streets in Times Square in New York City. I did see it in Philadelphia on the streets as well but everyone knew it originated in New York City. Those dancers were incredible and on point!
Break dancing has now become a sport and will be represented in the Olympics. Try and find out as much information so you can take part as you all are more than worth it.
These randoms (all respect due) could have swept the Olympics. They’re definitely great. But completely uncoached or supported. Not necessarily the best in NY. Just goes to show what access, funding and awareness does.

all of their moves are toward the audience,not all the people.they also only have a loose straight line instead of a circle for cypher.for me, it's more about a show. i can't feel any cultural connection from that.
