What a well spoken guy, really loved this episode
Ooh a collab I did not expect to see.
Yee a comment from TheHiddenOne shiđ€
I absolutely saw this colab coming đ didn't realise it would be this soon but have recently seen jays channel getting quite a bit of traction
Thank you for having me!
I absolutely adored the co-op gameplay in Assassin's Creed Unity, mainly because it allowed my architect girlfriend and me to have a virtual date in Paris during the COVID lockdown. It was charming and creative idea to roam around , admiring the stunning buildings and churches and her giving me small facts and stuff.
This is a collab I didn't expect to see. I love So Says Jay! This is so cool!
Iâve actually watched the video and Jay is such a chill dude. Thanks for having him on Luke
Funny, I played Unity over the past weeks and am uploading that playthrough on my channel now. Exactly my thoughts while playing it again was how incredibly ambitious the game was. So ambitious the game just couldn't handle it's own potential. The game asked to much of itself which is why it had such messed up launch. I think I can follow and see through their vision of creating this city/map that feels so alive. Even after fixing most graphical issues, they seemed to have lowered the fidelity, fps and textures in favor of keeping the high amount of npc's around. Like I can't remember an AC title that had anyting even close to having so much npc activity on the streets. It definitely improved the feeling of running through Paris.
I noticed you haven't talked about the modding scene for AC Unity, basically in the past few weeks a few mods came out that truly amplify and borderline revolutionize Assassins creeds gameplay to lengths we have never seen before, and will probably never see directly from Ubisoft. I would really like to see you do a collab video with Leo K where you talk about it, In my opinion Leo K has been a pillar of the AC Unity (and previous titles) community, not only from the gameplay guides and tutorials about the traversal, stealth and combat, but the commentaries about the franchises history and concepts for future titles. It would be sick to see a collab.
This jay guy is SPOT on. I think people are in for a shock when they realise Ubisoft moved on from those old style games for a reason - again, I remember everyone at the time thinking they were stale and yearning for something new. Now, we seem to be back to square 1đ
this guy is really well spoken and knows what heâs talking about. more of him please! that âi came from prince of Persia where they told you where you can grab. now you can grab anything? This is amazing!â was lowkey funny and idkyđđđ he summed up everything in a dozen wordsđ
Amazing conversation, this guy really knows how to speak and articulate his points well on the spot.
this is cool to have collab episodes, especially with the games you both critically review and liked
nice
AnvilNEXT (AC3-Rogue) had the best character movement and combat⊠integrating the sim-like balancing/physical interactions from the 1st would be great though. Wish theyâd go back to the olâ hold-trigger system with that weightiness and scrap the free-form combat-basically that era but with Originsâ world design/AI routines and Odysseyâs questing
He is so articulate, it's intimidating.
It would be interesting to see you talk to Lazerzz or Fizhy about Assassins Creed, I'm kind of curious how that would go because they hate everything that Assassins Creed has become since Origins.
The parkour in the new games are lazy, no side ejects, you can't cancel one parkour animation into another, the new games automatically stop you from running off an edge so theres no punishment for not paying attention to where you're going.
would honestly be a waste of time, they are not looking to change their mind on AC, they hate was AC has become and understandably so, Ubisoft has effed up too many times in their eyes so they left AC behind. Atleast Fizhy is kinda optimistic about Mirage, so is Jayvee but Lazerzz used to be the best of the bunch, sucks to see him separate himself from something he loved a lot, totally understand he wants nothing to do with Ubi and AC anymore. But yeah, I think a collab with Jayvee would be much better.
Love listening to intellectuals discuss things on CZcams
Personally I love all AC games except the Chronicle AC games.

Luke 100% hyped for new assassins creed
Bring back co-op! Or something similar.
if you wanna fix pop in for anyone woundering play in 2540 by 1440 and go to the documents setting for unity change the file settings in the text file tittled acu and turn teselation to zero and texture qualities to 4 play with msa 2 or txx and the game runs with no pop in or texture swapping
if you use nvidia control panel letting the aplication decide helps also
The AC multiplayer was great, but there was a steep learning curve that ruined it for people. All other games multiplayer was very run and gun and people expected that to be the case here as well.
It was smart and tactical, but people were not ready for it.
In the later iterations, it started to suck because they got rid of the patient game modes and tried to make run and gun modes.
thanfully unity has alot of fixes thanks to the modding comunity and a few settings in the document inls can be switch to fix stuttering and lod issues
Well this is unexpected.
36:15 why does Jay keep pronouncing Vallaha wrong?
I was annoyed with the rpg era of assassins creed was the mythical monsters and not being actual assassin and assassin creed being a horse simulator and not a parkour simulator , but Iâm glad with mirage we are actual assassins again .
I loved Origins. I played like an assassin the entire time.i rarely ever got into conflict. I feel like they give u thr option to decide what kind of player u want to be instead of forcing u to follow a certain script. I like that type of freedom in any game where the path of how easy it is depends on my mentality which is how I am in real life. I go out the way to avoid conflict unless it's necessary, then it's up!! Lol I'm in my 1st playthrough of Odyssey & I had the same thought about the mythical creatures. So far I haven't had to actually fight 1 though I encountered 1 but I ran đđ I'm hoping it's not something I have to do to complete the story
â@@BreakHarpe
origins is actually good and best among the modern rpg creeds tbh.
while odyssey , syndicate feels absolute dogsh^t to play . origins combat definitely feels better than them.
@@btchiaintkidding7837 I agree 100%...Actually to be honest Odyssey is getting kinda tiresome...Its kind of too much...Its almost starting to feel like a chore to play. Once I'm done if I get done, I know I won't ever revisit it, but with Origins I was ready to start a new game plus instantly. The Dlc was pretty dope & had a good amount of content. I actually enjoyed everything about Origins, even the side missions
Parkour needs to get more complex not simpler!
Unity's story to me is more nuanced than people first thought. It was the last time I felt like an actual Assasin of the Creed it took a look at the Creed when viewed as dogma. Unity is in my top 5
The AC Unity free running/parkour is the best in the franchise in my opinion. Ship combat in AC Black Flag was best in franchise. Story in AC Origins is the best in franchise. Just saying.
let's be honest, this was just the ramblings of two mad men who don't really know what they want. Unity is an ok game, but not a great one because not all its parts connect. In order to be a great game, it has to be better than the sum of its parts. Meaning that the game needed more refinement in gameplay, story, etc, etc. It's not just ONE thing that needs fixing it's everything at once.
Now that you guys brought this up, Valhalla and Odyssey are really simple and almost dumb games. It might be because Unityâs failed attempt at creating something complex with deep systems and open worlds. I mean, there must be a reason why the last two games are BIG, SHALLOW, EMPTY and SIMPLE! The parkour is a joke, blackbox missions are gone the cities are small, empty etc, social stealth is missing or useless, the detection system seems broken even tho is working as intended.. and so on! They might just have abandoned the more ambitious concepts in the favors of quantity and good graphics, because something more complicated is hard to achieve and deliver on time. Sad đą
37:55 I dont ask for much other than a good story and my character actually being an member of the creed for like 80% of the base game
why does he keep on saying valaha? Its so irritating.
Itâs a joke, I think someone presenting at an Ubisoft conference referred to it as that so heâs taking the piss
I really cant understand why some people defend Odyssey and Origins. Theyre both just awful games. Valhalla is awful game as well but its definitely the best of the 3.
^that's bait.
Origins and Odyssey are not awful games
Too bad you canât like ur own comment twice, youâd almost believe urself
@@vishalvenkat6definitely bait lmfaoo
I agree odyssey and valhalla suck their crappy AC games with boring bloated repetitive missions. I don't see why people like those games their garbage their are other way better rpg games to spent money on.
Assassin's creed 2 is goated
