As a first time buyer (although these videos are aimed at property invesment), this whole process spunds like a recipe for disaster. Not only would you struggle to complete, what about surveys? Could end up overpaying for a property with huge issues that you're then stuck with unless you fancy losing 10%. Loads of downsides with not much upside for the buyer. I must say I do smile with satisfaction when i see a property hasnt sold at auction.

i just looked at a legal pack and was surprised that searches were there, is this a standard thing that's done?, if so that is good but why is that the case?
I am disillusioned for the same reasons listed in the video, ridiculously low "guide prices", murderous auction fees and idiots driving up prices. As a suggestion, has APG ever thought of going into the auction business ?

How do you go about finding a solicitor that can move quickly? They don't have to perform searches as they're already done at least.
Its finding the right one and building a relationship with them!
