I always was & still am excited every time I catch dogfish. Don't know why but just love catching them. Always thought they were a "Cool Interesting Fish" They always go back unharmed so I can catch 'em another day, haha. & Welcome to the show "Levi" haha
Dang Blake you guys slayed it, nice work! I shoulda followed you! Though I did pick up a decent pink at Jeff that morning. Hope to see more of you in my neck of the woods!
Thanks Bo! All credit to Levi. I was just driving. I think despite the early launch all our keepers came between 10-11:15. Maybe one came before... Congrats on the nice pink!
Awesome one man and great hull. Been a while since I got my limit in Dungeness. If I bring one home for my wife and I to share I'm pretty happy. Thanks for keeping me entertained on the BC ferry!
Hi Karen! I do not, but I believe the seasons are constructed to avoid that time as much as possible. I know the San Juan season opens a little later in the summer because the dungies molt later than the rest of Puget Sound. Based of that, maybe the molt is a spring (like April-June) event for the rest of Puget Sound? Thanks for commenting.
Don't mind me squinting at the background trying to figure out where you dropped those pots 😁 I'm new to the area and still learning all the spots. I've had great luck with silvers this year, hoping my crab luck picks up!
Basically whatever I have available in the garage. I've moved to braid mainline for summer kings and Cohos. But for the resident Coho I think either braid or mono is fine. They're aggressive and not very deep so they hook themselves very well (therefore the bit of stretch in mono shouldn't really matter).
Hey LLS! Regarding the pots we were 70-80 feet range. Regarding where we were in MA10, I know there is no secrets out there on the Sound, but I don't want to spot burn on here. Nothing special though, they're all just coming thru and we're watching the finder, moving around trying to find their lanes.
Hey John! Yes and no! It was a new boat, but in 2013. Just shows you how long my channel has been around! Ha ha. (I loved the Livingston but needed a lot of fiberglass work).
Nice job out there guys!
Thank you sir! We managed to trip over a few!

Wow, you did a great job out there. We were there today too, around Golden Garden, but didn't catch any salmon.
Nice!
Thank you Mr. Gray!
Another great video💪. I’m about 20 mi upriver from buoy 10 so if you make it down here this fall be sure and give me a yell.
Thanks a ton. Will do!
Nice job boys!!!
Thank you thank you!
That one dogfish got a new piece of jewelry. Keep up the great videos!
Thanks a ton Doc, I super appreciate it!
Do you know when Area 10 crabs typically molt and are soft shelled? Thanks!

Do you use bread for the main line?

Would love to take you out bottom fishing over at seal and sail rock sometime!
Where in area 10 are you? Also, what depth are you setting your pots?

@@WAFishQuest cool. Thanks for the advice. I look forward to more videos.
Great episode! What size of downrigger weights are those?
Thanks Neil! We were running 12s. I feel like 15s are a bit much for the manual riggers.
@@WAFishQuest awesome thanks. I’ll be getting some for running on a Smokercraft and wanted to get an idea what your boat’s gunwales could support.
Did you get a new boat? I thought you were rocking a livingston earlier.

How fast do you troll up there?
Most of the time probably between 2.6 and 2.8. a little slower for kings (which we did not get).
