    Had these sets since they were released, using on my job, gigs, editing, gaming, casual listening, watching.... It is quite a versatile set... I'll just make a reminder for the future users that yes they are quite the fingerprint magnet, scratched up quite a bit if you're a rough user like me, but they are quite tough as I occassionally drop them yet still works and sound just like the day I bought them. The brass nozzle is also prone to tarnishing ,when exposed on long moisture if that's your concern stick to the stainless steel. The cable tho could be annoying to some as felt it felt quite stiff to my personal preference but you could upgrade the cables if you wanted to. All in all, the KATO for me is one of the best IEMs I had and possibly in the market.

    You should review the Truthear x Crinacle Zero
    Differs from Crin's usual tuning, the bass in these is insane, even if the frequency graphs say otherwise, bassy but not muddy. Got these recently and I'm never going back to "balanced" signatures lol

      jfc I just looked at the tuning for those and would rather rip off my ears than listen to that amount of treble sheen.
      You really don't realize that the Zero is what's considered a "balanced" sig, and has more treble and less bass than the harman target.
      imho nothing other than the Raptgo Hook X is worthwhile. Not 2000$ u12t's, not ie600's, nothing. If someones going for something else may as well get a 20$ Tanchjim Tanya and call it a day.

    I'm feeling good about getting the Kato for gaming, specifically Escape from Tarkov, in 2024. It's at a good price point at the moment and I think it's a precise enough IEM close enough to the Orchestra Lites while having a more comfortable fit.

    • @Teknickel
      @Teknickel  Před 3 měsíci

      I mean I play tarkov and right now the Aria 2 be coming real close to the Kato. Starfield 2 as well. With how those are going, I'd imagine a Kato 2 is in the works. If you aleady got it though, it's still a solid set

    Hi Teknickel, thank you for your videos, especially this one. Would you recommend paying more for Blessing 2 compared to Kato? I'm looking for IEMs that are neutral, detailed but not fatiguing in the treble. It's to play CoD Warzone 2 (Battle Royal) so sometimes lots of different sounds that you have to be able to differentiate and position. What IEMs would you recommend? Thanks in advance !

    As far as the arias (snow and original), star field and kato, which would you suggest for someone who does play shooters but also a lot of single player games? I can’t decide which would be best because I’m not super competitive when it comes to shooters but I do appreciate being able to track enemies well but also love an immersive sound when playing rpgs. I’m just casual when it comes to FPS multiplayer games. Thanks man.

      I'd have to try them to know. Like if you're playing FPS competitive, if they lack in the bass range, but are great in the mids and highs, with a nice round sound stage with a sense of height, along with accurate imaging and decent sound separation, you're in good hands.

    You know with most of these "gaming" reviews people just talk about music quality which gamers don't give a fuck about. I even watched a review where someone said he relies on visual cues over audio for fps games, like wtf.
    What reviews for gaming should discuss is soundstage, imaging, layering, isolation etc first then talk about comfort, length of cable and what's used to drive them. Give examples of using several gaming audio clips where one iem performed better than an another and tell us why discussing the characteristics . Show us your In game settings and Windows settings as some games incorporate dolby HD filters.
    Yet nobody does this and it pisses me off, instead they just get their free products from Shenzhen and give biased reviews pretending to give a gaming review.

      Something that sucks at bass, but is good at everything else. Currently I often recommend the Tin T2 at the lower end, because it hits those marks well. At the higher end, I like the standard Blessings 2, though I think the Tin T2 does a better job at screaming at your ears - helps you stay alert so you don't have to consciously think as hard about listening, but then you're alert whether you like it or not.
