I already started upgrading my V5 Typhon. HR 46T spool(down from 50T stock...so 20/46 gears), HR motor fan, HR front hinge pin carrier(stock is soft), HR front chassis brace, RPM front bumper and rear skid plate, Hoons tires, and a DX5c transmitter for the telemetry. I’m having to look for more space to run this thing now.
I love how versatile this unit is and it’s running the new spectrum esc you can adjust the BEC voltage on that bad boy and also how you can just throw some badlands on there and its a mini monster truck lol congrats 🍾

I have a lot of fun with my 3S one also I took the new one to the track tonight for the first time and it was my first time on a track and I learned it and I performed a lot better on the track with it running on 4S.
Just ordered my first rc car in over 20 years, and went with the typhon 3s. I enjoy your videos, and the content of your maintenance videos I can’t imagine the power of the 6, I went with the 3s and figured I got something I needed to run at 50% for a while lol 😂

I'm kinda undecided on the Typhon line. They are fast welcome to the 70 MPH Club. My Talion V3 6S is still my all out favorite Arrma and with the speed pinion it will do 70+. sometimes even 75 on a fresh 6S LiPo. Anyway the look of the Typhon just is different to me anyway. That said speed steals my heart anytime so if I had to choose a Basher or Speedster I might have a tough time. Nah, just get both!

Yeah the only thing I really had to change was the tires I got an actual set of track tires and after I put them on it it made the world of difference. The handling and the traction was amazing
i have some 4000 mah 4s packs... i wonder if it will do around 40mph top speed with them... these batteries would be lighter also... thanks for sharing
That car rips!! And with the bigger pinion it should fly. Out of curiosity what made you go for the typhon instead of the Talion 6s. The talion is the sexiest looking car out there in my opinion. That is really the only reason I love it.

I just bought this. My first rc ar. So charge battery put in car put batteries in remote and nothing else to do to get up and running ?? How to use brakes?
@@BarstoneRC nice bro yeh that was my first choice but like you said they weren't in stock few months back because of Covid and all delays making the V5. I'm happy with my EXB. You definitely can get over 80MPH with stock electronics if you're into that. Speeds runs are really fun. All u need is big pinion and change out the spur gear ⚙️. I was doing that with my Typhon 3S she hit 65mph on a big open parking lot then cashed it lol 😂 broke rear and front shock towers. You should start doing some speed runs when the weather gets warmer. Maybe you can build up you channel more with that content.
I did a few speed runs just testing stock cars and stuff like that in the past but I’m definitely going to do some speed runs with this car with a stock gearing and the speed gearing and do a few videos with it when it’s dry out.
Really don't like these radios that they're putting in with these vehicles now, there should be nothing less than the dx3 that comes with the infraction as a radio. That 4adio feel like a 10 child's toy and the super small power button on the back is ridiculous
@@BarstoneRC can you bind all your vehicles to one radio regardless of the brand esc? Or is that now how it works. I have a traxxas radio that does my stampede and erevo 2.0. Would like the same for my dx3 for my 22s losi, infraction and whatever else I end up with soon!

Like every arrma I have check the diffs. Center and rear fluid was low but the front was good🤔 guess they're getting a little better 🤣

Well that platform is pretty much the same as the Kraton 6s I wanted something different a smaller car but packs the same punch

Well on your controller when you pull the trigger you go forward when you push the trigger forward it turns on the brakes.
Honestly it worked out in your favor, you get to enjoy the V5 instead of the V4!!

It’s mainly all the Arrma cars that use the spectrum receivers. They can bind to the DX5 but no the Traxxas receivers will not bind to it.
