He is the man on the left of the casket in the photos. Joe Don Baker can be seen in some of the pictures with tears streaming down his face.
Is amazing that I watched this, my dad was actually the club manager/hotel detective where and when this happened and used to tell us this story when we were growing up and we never knew it was Buford Pusser.

They were both appearing at the Chevy Show in TN, some ladies walked up to Burts table, he asked them did they want him to sign something, they said no, we're looking for that big Sheriff!!!
