After all these years, Vanessa lost her Miss America crown, but she has had a career in music that no other Miss America came near.

@@AlmondJoie Technically, Ms. Vanessa Williams had knowingly violated the Miss America rules on 2 counts: 1) she knew when she entered and signed their contract that she had the very explicit unpublished nude and pornographic photos in her past (not just nude, they were depictions of her having oral sex with another woman, still viewable online) and 2) she knew she’d had an abortion in her teens, and the pageant required contestants to “never have been pregnant.” Among a long list of other sexist requirements.
However, those rules were misogynistic and dumb anyway. Good for her for proving that shit doesn’t matter one bit as to what a woman is worth or what she can accomplish in life. True class. 👍🏼

My favorite Christmas movie is still A Diva's Christmas Carol to this day. I was around 6 or 7 when it came out and I thought she was the prettiest woman I had ever seen. Watching this interview gave me that same feeling but better because her inner beauty is even more captivating when she's not acting and just Vanessa Williams. Love this

I turned 60 in October and I am loving me. Its all about me now. I say what I think. I say no to grown kids! Its all about me and my hubby. I still look good, feel good. When I happen to mention I'm 60 now my coworkers jaws drop! Black don't crack! If I could only embrace the gray hair. I keep dying it.
Keep dying it until you are done dying it. I am approaching the beautiful age of 50 In February, and I have a few grays that I’m not ready to embrace yet. I have been walking everyday on my treadmill and stopped eating after 7pm and already I see my body changing. Keep enjoying 60!

I feel this program always brings up a painful past of a guest. Always. So unnecessary. I can see the discomfort on guests faces. Sometimes old news is not news anymore. It's not journalism to me. A 3 minute chit-chat is not the platform to go deep. Guests are coming on to talk about now...maybe future. Unless they have written a book where they want to address something. This is not 60 minutes.
I agree with you 100%. That scandal happened so long ago, and I don't see the revalence in bringing it up again. Vanessa rose above it, and she's still a shining star. I'm happy for her.
I totally agree too and I hate it. I don't know if it's done for shock value or the pressure of being "the consummate journalist". Either way, I'm over it, and I don't tune in to this show as often as I used to. I really felt for Vanessa having to sit through that yet again.🙄
