You can have scissors sharpened professionally, if they are well made . Look up Laville Barber in Indiana . I’ve had my grooming shears sharpened and realigned for 30 years by this company. You may find one closer to you. Ask the beauty and barber shops. They often have the rep from the company come every other month to pick up shears. Then you can have them shipped back. Also independent grooming salons will have the same service.

Thanks for that. I just did a water change and trimmed bunch of the moss along with the hair algae. Will definitely reduce photo period. I prolonged it to increase other types of algae for shrimp and snail to feed on, but they were not tackling the hair algae so...

Jesse your other type of algae will surely slowly acclimate to your decreasing photo resouces.
Live plant scaping is all about optimizing their needs and the environment.😊
As of moment, reducing the lighting period is your best option, or they may infect your other live plant as well.

Ahmad Hafizudin Azmi that is a good point. Over time they can acclimate, so yes, you must reduce the algae and then begin increasing the light once again. I have had the very thing you speak of happen in one of my tanks.
