(Godzilla: Save the Earth - Melee is a fan-made mod project by Godzilla fans for Godzilla fans. Originally beginning in 2021 as a simple "overhaul" of the 2004 game Godzilla: Save the Earth by Pipeworks Studios, STE Melee evolved over the years into an unofficial fully-fledged sequel to the Pipeworks Godzilla games we've all been waiting for! As originally a PS2 game, STEM runs in an emulator, so it can only be played on PC/Linux/Steam Deck. STE Melee has not yet been released, as it's a huge, all-encompassing remaster that includes additional content. There's no estimated release date as this is a completely free project done out of passion. In the meantime, please enjoy these windows into our development!)

The Terror of Mechagodzilla reference entrance for Godzilla here works absolutely perfectly! I love all the gimmicks he has as well, the Save The Earth move-set mixed with the Unleashed (Wii) move-set is unique, and the jump-slam move from Godzilla Vs Megaguirus is another level!!! Fantastic job!
Godzilla 2000 is so far the most impressive monster you guys have made so far, you guys are absolutely amazing, keep up the great work!
The Godzilla Fighting Games like "Destroy all Monsters Melee," "Save The Earth" and "Unleashed" all deserved to be Ported as Digital Downloads into Modern Gen Consoles like PS5 and XBOX Series X.
They need to be officially remastered honestly

It actually floors me every time you and your team make these updates. Like I have this thing in my head of "oh you're working with and modding preexisting characters, there's only so much you can do to change the game" and then you come out with an update that quadruples the quality of the model and completely remolds the character to be so much more fun looking. I love the pipeworks game but they never made godzilla look this fun!

Never knew how much I wanted a game like this till I saw this mod. Can't wait to play it! Few monsters on my wishlist would be Shin Godzilla(if it's even possible, given how he constantly evolves and whatnot), Monsterverse Ghidorah, and Kong. Keep up the good work!

Bro the only major flaw about unleashed was the motion controls, other than that it was good
@@IndominusRex-wc1eyi loved Unleashed as a kid when it came out in 2006. however, going back as an adult almost 20 years later, the game is literally unplayable with how bad the fighting mechanics are. it was a huge stepdown from the previous titles. the only positive about Unleashed is its roster & rules menu. DAMM & STE however are still a good time

I think STE especially does combat far better than Unleashed does, but I actually kinda like the comparative lack of hitstun and stunlockless combat. The motion controls are ass but I grew up with that god damn Wii until like 2017 or 2018, so I got damn used to those fucking motion controls lmao

Seeing this makes me wanna see Showa Godzilla and have him use various moves such as the drop kick, flight, and even the dance as a taunt. I can even see him doing that thing he does where he swings his arm out of frustration. I think he should also be slightly smaller than the other godzillas as well to match the accurate scaling. If not, normal size is fine, too.
He shouldn't be smaller than the other Godzillas, but I absolutely agree he should make it in!

I find Orga to be one of the most original and interesting daikaiju concepts and designs, it's good to see him back. While Godzilla 2000 is one of the handsomest of the rubber-suit Gs.

there is a mission in Save the Earth’s adventure mode where Godzilla swims. the animation was borrowed from that mission. what they programmed to triggers the animation when in water though, I do not know

@@DrakoTheTwinkthose are from Unleashed. one of the team members figured out how to convert animations from Unleashed into the game (so long as the models between games have similar skeletons, which is only a select few). lots of smart wizardry amongst the mod team
It is confirmed to be a taunt animation for Millenium Goji. It has to be perfomed in water, hopefully all Godzilla variants will have it

They've already confirmed an image of the MonsterVerse iteration as an alternate skin for Rodan on their Twitter account months ago.
I think they should all be skins with some new moves in ther moveset or a new rage attack. Monsterverse Mechagoji has been confirmed to be a skin for Kiryu with its own moveset
