Kiryu's design has always been my favorite. It's what I imagine whenever I hear Mecha Godzilla.
Absolute classic design! Fun fact: apparently Kiryu is only referred to as MechaGodzilla twice in the first movie and never called that in the follow up film :)

Dude. The fact that this channel especially loves all sorts of monsters and daikaiju, AND gets the many origins and such correct, really makes this one of my favorites.

Cyber Godzilla is an underrated gem. The fact they took the hated Godzilla and made him that universe’s mechagodzilla and made his son the true Godzilla is a stroke of genius.
A great series, so much nostalgia when I rewatched those episodes for this :)

Out of all the robotic doppelgangers, Mecha G is one of the greatest. Kiryu and Monsterverse Mecha Gs were honestly so perfect as a robotic copy of Godzilla. My personal favourites.

My favorite incarnation is Kiryu. He's so unique the idea of building around the og Gojira's skeleton was reused (Singular Point). His characteristics just sit so right with me too.
The 1976 design will always be the best. It just had that iconic, riveted, steampunk look.

While others may not like it, I actually really love the Monsterverse Mechagodzilla! It has a raw industrial look that befits its primary functionality as a superior to Godzilla, particularly in the way it focuses mainly on punching the everloving daylights out of Godzilla compared to other versions firing off all kinds of weapons.
As Emperor palpatine once said, I have been waiting a long time for this…
LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS. You always do such a good job. Glad you went so in depth between some of the more minor design changes, like 1974 vs 1975, or 2002 vs 2003.

Future In March 2023, Don Mancini announced he is in early stages of development on a new Chucky movie that would work in tandem with the series
If they release a movie I'll update that video, call it the ultimate edition or something haha. It's hard to update a character with TV shows, but lining it up with a movie that brings the movies and the show to a conclusion, heck ya!

I’m actually surprised you guys went all out with the MG variants, here.
Also, apparently one of the guys who worked on GvK also confirmed that the MonsterVerse MG also had chest missiles, industrial grinders in its mouth, a barriered “armadillo” mode it could roll up into (*as stated by one of the guys in development*)/curl up and wrap its tail (*as seen in storyboards*) around itself to deflect Godzilla’s Atomic Breath, and a Proton Scream in both its mouth and tail, much like Shin Godzilla.

I'd love to re-animate and redesign the Godzilla looks to really make it as awesome as possible. With that said a completely new Godzilla video with all the new versions and new designs would probably take about 600 hours to make haha. So it’s on my mind, but not sure when! :)

Kiryu's always been my favorite Mechagodzilla incarnation. Iconic design and an amazing story that actually makes you root for the Mecha.
On another note, despite the fact that RPO Kiryu (referred to as Mechagodzilla in the film) being the shortest Mechagodzilla, the book Kiryu is, in fact, the largest: standing at a whooping 200 meters tall.
