My partner is an optometrist, about half their time is spent dealing with kids who try and fake eye tests to get glasses because they think it's cool/smart.
When they suspect this they put frames in the test glasses (that bit where they say "lense 1 or lense 2") which cancel out so their is no difference between the lenses and normal vision.

i remember wanting glasses so much as a child that i faked several eye tests, got the glasses, wore them all the time. my mum was always skeptical tho because i could see clearly without them so a few months after, she took me back and turns out i need them full time now going into adult hood lmao

I had a similar thing with points at my school where you can get stuff for them. I got 1 rugby ball after 2 years and then they got rid of the whole system lol
7:35 The reason that this person spent 8 grand at disney is alot of reasons: first of all, you probably went to disneyland paris which is much cheaper than disneyland or disney world in america because of overall tickets and also the flights to get there (depending on where you live but in George's case, it is in England, like me) You also only went for 1 and may of only stayed 1 day or 2. That means it would be significantly cheaper than an average disney world/ land california holiday as the normal disney holiday is 2 weeks. There are many other reasons like buying more food since you have other people and much more. I live in England and it costs 6 grand overall for everything to go to disney world in Florida for 2 weeks whilst staying in a normal hotel (the disney ones are also MUCH more expensive for less space so that person may of used that) This is coming from a hardcore disney fan.

6:08 when I was in year 4 I did this aswell, although I ended up having to wear reading glasses so I couldn’t always wear them. After 2 months I hated them and my mum would force me to wear them and I’d say that my vision was all better so I didn’t have to wear them

in primary school we had this big wooden train in the playground, one day my "friend" pushed me over it and somehow I get stuck underneath it, then when it was time to go into lesson time I was stuck there yelling and no-one heard me shouting, it took ages for anyone to realise I was not there, then the headteacher had to set me free and bring me back into class, I couldn't stop crying so I had to go to my friends mum's house and I had a really nice treat (caramelised rice crispy circle thing.) it was a good ending but something I will never ever forget

As a kid, we were told to bring in a toy which meant alot to us and write about why we liked it so much. I brought in one of my Doctor Who figures, and instead of writing about why I liked the toy, I wrote and entire description about the episode the figure was from and I remember just feeling so awkward when she commented on how all that long work was not actually what I was meant to be writing about.
