I've seen all of these. The lady who was getting ten days in jail for contempt of court was interrupting her estranged husband while he was giving the judge an explanation of her history of abuse, the reason why he was filing a restraining order on her. of course, she then attacked the judge for giving her ten days (rightfully).

I haven’t seen the video yet, but The reason she was made in contempt of court for A) attacking the judge (regardless of the circumstances attacking a judge is against court laws), and B)Interrupting someone on the stand muddies the record for the synographer. I haven’t watched the video tho

@Tristan Lane I agree with you about the smiling whilst handing out jail time (I’ve never seen that, but if it did happen that’d be fucked) but judges represent the highest authority in our society. If we’re supposed to respect the law, we must respect judges. I think it makes sense

6:20 she's held on contempt because she kept arguing and speaking over the judge as she was trying to explain why she can't do that. Judges have to fit a ton of cases in, in a day, and cant afford everyone to be arguing back and forth in the court room. She also was belligerent and was attempting to hide information by claiming it wasn't "any of the judge's business" when it was relevant information
hey george, im not a member of the legal system but technically that judge could have beaten that man up and it still been legal because some states in the united states are "mutual combat states" which means if 2 people agree to fight they can fight (its not all states though)
Yeah this happened in Florida (who would've guessed) which has mutual combat laws, he didn't get arrested from what I know but he did lose his job unfortunately

His anger was so justified however there is a certain conduct in court. They don’t always let the family of the victim in the trial because of those reasons. The person I’d the victims holds bias against the defendants case and while horrible the law stated everyone has the right to a fair trial. Also profanity muddies the record and normally you can’t speak unless you are on the stand or you are a lawyer. Even then lawyers can only talk to object on cross and direct examination, asking questions or at closing and opening statements.
Could have ended better ngl. Best case scenario you end up with a Gary Plauche situation.
So when murder victims parents are upset and threaten people and swear, they get contempt of court charges, but a judge can threaten people and start fights ???

For context the dad that tried to beat that guy in court was from the Larry Nassar case. Big case a few years ago. Can't say what he did because community guidelines for comments but if you know you know the dad was in the right for trying to beat that guy

Reasonable explanation
In the 3rd one, the father went to attack the man who sexually assaulted 3 of his daughters. I would say that's justified tbh.
It is defo justified however completely against the rules of court. Not to mention it actually damages the reputation of both sides in front of the jury and they often don’t let family of victims in the court room for that exact reason. As horrible as the crime is the judge has order to maintain in their court room and he went against that. I agree he was justified but from a judges perspective it jeopardises the case and can actually be declared a mistrial and they start again with a different jury, also muddies the court record

@@stellagibson7507 yeah that makes sense, I imagine the judge would be very empathetic, I Think most our with the nature of their job and the people they have to comfort and the people they have to sentence every day. A barrister is my dream job but I don’t think I could ever defend a monster like that. Poor guy, I hope the vile cretin got what he deserved .
