The wicked witch caught on fire and had to be hospitalized due to burns suffered while filming her scene where she disappears in a flash of fire. Original Tinman, Buddy Ebsen (aka Jed Clampet) fell seriously ill from makeup made of pure aluminum dust. After the makeup was diluted, Jack Haley played the Tinman with only a reported eye infection troubling him. There were a lot of accidents and incidents during the making of that movie!
yeah there’s so many issues with the filming
apparently the lion man had to stay in his suit and prosthetics andthe temperatures would get into the 100s from the lighting, and he couldnt drink water. either the first or second woman who played the witch got some cancer or disease from whatever makeup they used to color her green, and the main actress girl (judy garland i think?) got addicted to some sorta pills they put her on to keep her 'thin enough'. overall its pretty horrifying especially taking in how they tried to make the movie extremely fast so it was hours and hours of filming and shit and then back all over again. im sure theres a lot more that im forgetting but its truly so scary to watch it again and know thats all going on

The girl who played Dorothy was molested and fed drugs while filming so she would work more since she was a child. She became addicted to those drugs, tried to end her life several times before dying at age 47 of an overdose. She was reportedly 180 pounds when she died (12.8 stones,) and she was in big trouble with the IRS. There was also a rumor a few years back that a munchkin committed suicide on set, and you could see him hanging from a tree in one scene. If you watch the movie now you see its actually a bird in the background, but this doesn't make sense given the scene, so I feel like it's true. Tinman got sick from the paint, the wicked witch caught fire and was hospitalized, it wasn't a fun time.

Haven't watched avatar in a long time but I can remember 4 scenes: 1.when they do the weird thing with their tails and the tree, 2. When they're flying on the creatures, 3. When the guy is going into that bed vr thing and 4. When they come in with choppers/mech suits. Honestly thinking about it, the movie feels more like a fever dream than anything

For the ending of American psycho, there are a few interpretations, but the two I like the most are 1)Bateman is completely delusional. You can tell the end action scene is a bit off, with him exploding the car and whatnot, and you see the violent things he draws in his notepad. Some believe he is just a psychopath where all the killings he commits are just dreams/delusions. 2) that Bateman is a killer, but the upper class that you see him interacting with are so self centered that they barely remember anything about each other. Bateman believes he killed Paul Allen but someone else claimed to have seen him. So they believe Bateman did kill Paul Allen but they're so narcissistic that they don't fully remember if it was even him they met.
Inside out is one of the best Pixar films but I can see how others think it's boring. The movie is about clinical depression and how people with depression see the world and how our best memories are taken over with sadness. The movie has a slower pace and is full of dark colors to demonstrate how depression takes over the whole body and not just the mind. Unless you have clinical depression, it is hard to truly understand the movie.
i think a big part is probably how the main character is a barely teenage girl and its more relatable for girls around that age to watch and relate to it

Mate I literally just finished a media film analysis on avatar, it is the highest grossing movie in history because of the amount of cgi and the technologies they used and the way they advertised the movie really set it apart from others at the time, the movie also had a 237 Million usd budget in 2007 (when filming started)

2. Neytiri tames the puma-like creature and they take on Miles, impaling him on a massive arrow, before she goes into the room where Jake has passed out from lack of oxygen and puts the mask back on him, so he can breathe.
3. The whole scene with Grace, who's injured, being placed with her avatar body under Eywa's tree, but it's too late, even with the whole clan calling for her to help.
4. Jake is able to synch with Toruk Makto and rides him for all the air scenes, before letting him free again, at the end.
5. Neytiri's wailing after the loss of her father and the burning of her home. She takes her anger out on Jake, seeing as he's part of the race that's responsible.

i think the reason avatar had such a successful release is because it was a really groundbreaking film for cgi, considering like a majority of everything on screen is cgi

I literally just rewatching Avatar last week because I hadn't seen it since I watched it when it first came out. It was completely like watching a movie for the first time.
