I found the whole thing delightful, especially the interviews with the regular citizens. What do you think? Could Bigfoot still be out there?"
Our Film Specialist Chad Williams notes that this story is what they refer to as a "special" in the film lab - KCRA-TV stories that were produced separate from daily news. These would air sometimes over multiple days near the end of a news broadcast or on other programs. A lot of these specials are now in pieces, with images and audio on separate reels that have to be put back together in their original sequence. Sometimes, as seen in this video, there is still audio but no picture. What happened to these bits of film is a mystery...
Excellent to see a documentary from long ago. SHOW ME a monkey suit now in 2023 that rivals a “monkey suit” from Patterson/Gimlin 1967.
I grew up in Hood River, Oregon. I saw an Albino Sasquatch there at my Grandparent's house in 1978.

Someone should play several of the vocalization tapes in front of a panel of "The Three Tenors" and ask them professionally, what they think of the lung capacity of the taped performers.

@@nescafe5308 well, where I was living was on the edge of town going towards the direction of Hood River. Somewhat remote. The house I was living at backed up to a ravine. There were two of three of these things in the ravine and at night they would come on to the property and feed on one of the fruit trees. They were seen by myself and several of my housemates. Even recorded them screaming in the ravine. I wrote a book about my experiences.
@@darinrichardson9290 astonishing yet very scary sounding. If would of happen to be close by and they seen you there's no telling what would of happened. But you got good proof with eyewitnesses and a book to account for it too, can't beat that with such a legend as bigfoot

This was great but the narrator was very misleading when he stated that the editor he interviewed first was highly skeptical of bigfoot. Too me it sounded like he was very open to the possibility of these beings existence. These days, mainstream news editors and reporters snicker and scoff when they mention bigfoot like its the most ridiculous thing they ever heard. Mr. Weeks though calmly thinks about it critically and then applies common sense when asked about possible sightings and then states that just because you never see something doesn't mean it isn't there.

I think I remember seeing this when I was 8 or 9. Wonder what happened to Terry Richards ? KCRA could use a real reporter again. Not sure if this was on the News broadcast or the magazine show that came on after the news I think it was called Weeknight?

Gotta love ol Grover. 150 ? I'd say Oregon alone has 600-1000 in itself. Washington, probably 1200+. BC has 15-1600 or more. Alaska minimum of 8-1200. The interior of these upper states hide these populations well.

@@Rene-up1dl I've actually visited Alaska twice staying with a family friend who was a detective. My father joked about Bigfoot and everyone laughed. The detective said no such thing as Bigfoot then said really serious, it's the people in the bush you gotta watch out for.

My family's friend was a no bullshit ex servicemen and police detective and my father was a veteran policeman. My father believed him and in his job he had heard some tales so knew lies from truth.
