  • This is not the right way
    But this is my way.
    -------------
Guys..GUyss… that was such a big project. I’ve been doing it by small steps since April, I guess.
It’s very personal to me. I wanted to sum up the whole trilogy. Not only all of Steve’s character and situation’s development, but also my feelings.
This video is very long, since the song is as well, but I must say that this is impossible to properly picture the evolution of these characters in one single fanvid. If I wanted to feature all of the most important, influential and emotional moments from the movies, this vid would have lasted over an hour.
Cap trilogy really impacted me and it will always be my favorite piece of the MCU. I hope that we’ll still have a chance to see the development of Steve in Marvel movies.

i think because "Winter Soldier" is such a strong, standout sequel, it really kind of eclipses the heart and wonderful character moments of "Captain America".
say what you will about "Captain America" being bland or lacking in grandiosity, but it's anything BUT a cookie-cutter MCU origin film. Steve Rogers wills himself into heroism. by the final frame of "Winter Soldier", Rogers is the MCU's most formidable, relatable, courageous and compassionate hero. not hardly so with "Iron Man 2" or "Thor: The Dark World".
when Steve Rogers goes, somebody's gonna have some big goddamned shoes to fill -- the shoes of a good man chosen for greatness.
and who never once turned away from that calling.

Before the 2010s, people would think of Captain America similarly to how they think of Aquaman, cheesy and lame. Since the MCU's adaptation of him, especially in The Winter Soldier and Civil War he has quickly become one of the coolest and most badass Marvel heroes. Thanks to Kevin Feige and the Russo brothers, he's actually become my favorite of the Avengers.

Steve and Buck are both probably the most beautifully written characters. Especially because Bucky is so complex, he has so much inside his head, and he wants to fix that. But he can't. Steve, however, wants to do everything that's right. But he.. Broke when he saw Bucky in Winter Soldier. He has PTSD, which is beautifully written.. But he's also split between two worlds. When he lost Peggy, Steve lost what was left of the past- besides Bucky, that is. But, when Bucky went back into cryo.. He lost that too.

The shield is a representation of what Steve thought fighting in a War means, Civil War made him realize that if a team can be ripped apart that easy. That very well in fact may not be enough to keep the world in tact as he views it, he stands for Freedom in its purest form and like very few is willing to put that on his back and carry it. His basis for truth has been tested many times, but I think he has maintained that better than anyone.
Natasha Buck and Sam are so loyal to him, because they that what he is doing is bigger than any one particular individual.
Now the shield has to go away, because now he's got to alter that way of thinking somewhat, as much as it pains me to admit this. I believe Rogers will be the one to fall to Thanos, I think he'll be there to push them forward. Because really it started with him, Stark will realize the Avenger are needed now more than ever before. And Steve won't need the Shield necessarily, but when it's all said and done they'll all look to him for Guidance, and as always he will rise to the occasion.

It cuts from Bucky grabbing Iron Man's foot to the 1943 alleyway scene where he protects Steve from the bully, then cuts back to Cap returning the favour by tossing Iron Man to the ground. Powerful moment, and it's like Steve is defying Zemo's statement of "I lost everyone...and so will you".

If you think about it all Captain America storylines in the MCU revolve around Bucky, the first time he becomes Captain America for real, the push for him to go after red skull even more, the whole second and third movies are about the winter soldier and even Cap's part of the infinity war storyline goes, through losing his best friend once again, but their friendship survived time, hope it survives through this as well.

I agree, besides Steve is no more Cap, so the 4th movie would be pretty forced tbh. However they should continue developing Steve's character and the dynamics between him and Bucky, make Bucky!Cap happen and then make a buddy movie with these two (plus Falcon, of course). This kind of role swapping would be so much fun to watch and it'd somehow guarantee that Stevie will be still appearing on the screen, cause the new trilogy would be his place in the MCU.

I grew up with Spiderman. He is still my favourite all time hero. But even when he joined Iron Mans side I had to choose team Cap. I was always Team Cap. I just love the character too much. In my opinion the best written MCU character.

@@samirabousalama1991 True. Our MCU Spidey is just young, and innocently commits mistakes - and Tony was the first guy to talk to him about joining his side. He even made him a new suit. The comics Spider-man is a grown-up. He understands the worth of superheroes. After the Superhuman Registration Act (the comics counterpart of the Sokovia Accords), every hero is required to reveal his identity. Spidey has to do it, after a long discussion with his family, and under Tony's pressure, which leaves his family- Aunt May, and wife Mary Jane Watson, vulnerable to being targeted by his enemies. Soon, after he does that, he begins thinking what went wrong- understands why Cap began to rebel. He finally understands the true culture and honor of a superhero, and thus, he knocks out Iron-man in his own headquarters, is hunted down by special ops (recruited by SHIELD against Captain America and his team), nearly killed by some supervillains (recruited by Tony and SHIELD to fight Cap), and for sure, he's saved by The Punisher. Cap immediately brings him in, and actually cares for him like his own kid. He shouts to his fellow inmates for helping Spidey (who's unconscious at that moment). Finally, after all that, Spidey says he's glad he finally checked in, picked the right side. Also, not to forget that most of the heroes were leaving Team Iron-man already because they started to finally know the truth, for which Tony had SHIELD take the help of supervillains and criminals to fight against Cap.
I'll give you some comics myself if you send me an invite on CZcams. So, thanks for reading!

Steve is super inspirational. He inspired me to try harder then ever. Captain America is my fav hero. Not bc he’s strong. It’s bc he’s a good man. Steve is what makes me wanna join the army. And I’m serious. I wanna join the army bc of him. And I wanna join bc keeping people safe is a mission. When I tell people that I wanna join the army the say “ you got nothing to prove”. And there wrong. The one thing I gotta prove is that I was born to be a soldier. And it’s to keep the people I love safe. I’ll miss u Captain Steve Rodgers.
