- This is round two of how I brew Czech Lagers in my tiny brewery. After some requests I went ahead and filmed my brewday again with a better camera, shots and audio. Brewing beer is a labor of love and filming it takes some time so I hope you enjoy!

Tanglefoot Brewing is a small Czech lager focused brewery in Temple, TX.In 2021 the brewery opened in the back of my family's BBQ restaurant that had been operating for 53 years. The restaurant has since closed and Tanglefoot has now taken over the entire space. This CZcams channel was started to document the process of opening, running and growing a small craft brewery.
Great video, I agree with the consensus, new kit looks and sounds great, keep up the good content and beer!
Thank you! 🍻
Great production on this one! Really interesting watch.
Thank you! 🍻
Man you’re a hard worker !!! Great to see !!! A good honest days work .
It was definitely an honest days work. Lots of sweat involved ha
sound on the new mic is clean! great video, very informative.
Clean audio, clean beer. 👌
new mic sounds great, great video!
Nice! Glad to hear(pun intended)
Can you give more detail on your decoction methods that would be a good video by itself
The last video I posted was all about it!
Both the video and audio quality are great! Lol, I usually reflect on all my life decisions halfway through the Mash. Great video! Try playing around with your autofocus. Sony has an eye tracking feature that is pretty good so the focus doesn't hunt around.
Ya, I need to dive way deeper intot he camera. So much to learn still! Cheers 🍻
Great video! Quality is great 👍🏼
Thank you! 🍻
Be there in a couple weeks. Bringing a few lagers with me for ya to experience. Cheers!
Awesome! See ya then 🍻
How much and how long is your decoction? If I’m ever in Texas I’ll be sure to stop by. 🍻🍻🍻
Check out the last video I posted. It's all about it. 🍻
I have left a valve open a few times as well.
It's just a part of the game. 🍻
What chloride/sulfate ratio (or total PPM) do you aim for in this recipe? Also, side comment, how do you like those Huk boots in the brewery?
Huk boots: they are good but not chemical resistant, so they break down unfortunately. Tried to get them to do a collab for breweries, but no dice 😞
Chloride/Sulfate: it's all relative to the beer but I think I shot for a 2:1 or 3:1on the pilsners? My beertools is on another computer so I cant check at the moment.
What is the size of your brew house? Do you have a video showing your system?
The other brewday video covers a bit but the system is 4bbl volume but I knock out 3bbls
Which yeast strain did you pitch? Is this your house strain for all of your Czech lagers?
Czech pils yeast, 2278 from wyeast or comparable strain. That's the only one I use
If you have to top up a lot, aren't you worried about the ibu dropping too low?
I don't have to top off often, but I usually will calculate the difference in ibu if it happens. If I need to add a few I can adjust on the fly. Usually not a huge discrepancy though.
What pump do you use?
Chugger Max 🍻
Special plastic wrap edition 🤘 ha
Tanglefoot export to Canada? Cheers
Unfortunately, no. I hope to some day!
How big is your boil kettle? and mash tun?
They are 5bbl volume to the top but I brew 3 bbl batches woth them. 🍻
@@tanglefootbrewing ok thank you very much ;)
