Leading a host of Nurgle the plague god we start nestled in the mountains north of the Dark Lands and must spread our Grandfathers blessing to all those without with a little help from our friends in part 1 of a brand new Immortal Empires Campaign as Tamurkhan and The Maggot Host in Total War: Warhammer 3 Thrones of Decay!

Honestly, I 100% agree about the nurglings thing. I also feel Chaos warriors should always have access to a basic marauder unit, if you're getting rolled as them, you're just done.
I like how MonstersAbound didn't shower for an entire month in prepration for this campaign.

The short and long victory conditions set for him seem to follow his journey as described in the Throne of Chaos book. So that must be why Goldtooth is put on the short victory conditions.

Man that intro is really really cool you could say it puts a plague on you( I’m srry that’s Probaly the worst joke I’ve ever even thought of). Poor Khorne and Slannesh lovers, imagine having to wait. Actually slannesh is Probaly the last to get a dlc just because they are actually pretty fun to play as( and have really great machanics). Not to mention most of the things they introduced with shadows of change would be great for khorne. Glorious charge and silence magic being great examples and fit khorne thematically and lore wise. idk if being able to silence magic characters is lore accurate but then again we have croxigors leading armies so who cares.
Atleast the attempt on the joke was rather 'sick' given the theme 😄

Battle against Kholek begins with 13 minutes already on the clock, absolute mystery how that happened honestly.
Awesome video. Some clarification, the reason behind the SCW conditions, are due to Thamukhan's storyline from the Thrones of Chaos book. In short, he conquers several chaos/norscan factions around Zanbaijin, travels south through the mountains of mourn, where he acquires the Ogre body he has in game. Later on he ends up fighting Astrogoth's faction, earning the Chorfs respect and stricking a deal with them, in return for their weaponry and warriors, he'll acquire slaves and material for their forges. They end up conquring their way towards the territories of the borderprinces, into Sulland and ends up laying siege to Nuln, where he's defeated :(

The reason you have to go to Greasus is they're trying to emulate the path he took in the Games Workshop book. He went south through Mountains of Mourn, then west recruiting Drazhoath, getting attacked by Greenskins, etc. and eventually crossing into the south-eastern border of the Empire destroying Pfeildorf and eventually being defeated at Nuln.

I think a good idea for military buildings with nurgle is the cycle starts at your settlement level. So if you build the build at tier 5 you get tier 5 units quicker
Finally the Maggot Lord, I'm a bit late to the party but this is gonna be awesome, the rework on the Nurgle mechanics including the plagues and the new units plus chieftains are all damn good
I too enjoy the ogres other than the greenskins. Nurgle is cool too. I miss this game so much. I would be playing it a lot more if i had a computer to play with.

My two favorite things in the whole game: Nurgle (WITH improved economy) and Dreadquake Mortars. This is the BEST faction in the entire game and, to everyone's surprise, CA actually did a good job with this expansion. Hooray.

Loved the stargate reference, not gonna lie.
Not sure if it has been mentioned. But the reason for the long objective victory is because that is the route Tamurkhan did in lore. He made allies with the Chaos Dwarfs while raiding any other villages of anyone along the way. Then they marched through border prince territory. I believe then through blackfire pass and went straight to Nuln with their allied chaos Dwarfs marching alongside and not with for obvious reasons 😂🤢🤮
It ultimately failed and Nuln defeated them barely. Chaos Dwarfs marched back better off with plunder, slaves, and gold since they normally conduct warfare with long range seige warfare. Thusly they didn't lose as many troops

There probably will be Nurgotaurs/Pestitaurs and Plaguebulls (Doombulls of Nurgle) only when there is a Warherd of the Gods DLC for the Beastmen. I could be very wrong about that though...

The nurgle recruitment system is very bad. I found that the best method is to buy 0 millitary buildings and just go for heros + special units. The campaign is over before you get value from the millitary buildings.

Also, why would you go from a Nurgle campaign directly into another Nurgle campaign?
Cause Nurgle is his favorite chaos god and he's one of the DLC lords. Besides, there is also the Dwarf Lord in the patreon campaign

I don’t care if it’s his favourite god, running two campaigns at the same time which have major overlap just exhausts the content and viewer attention.
It would’ve been smarter to leave either Epidemius or Tamurkhan for later and space out all the Nurgle.
