I wish everyone knew the importance of keeping your country clean
I'm with you
After what happened there? Clean streets are the priority!!?
@@MalteseKat well it happened 2 decades ago...if they want a clean country then let it be so.
Ironic that the US is looking more not even Third World but mid evil times compared to the countries were taught are they are poor and Third World. I cant wait to visit Gisenyi!
Agreed. I've heard Rwanda is a very clean country. It is definitely on my list of places to visit. Rwanda is sometimes known as the Singapore of Africa, I find that as an interesting analogy!
I visited Rwanda earlier this summer, and watching this video brought back soooo many amazing memories while there. This was my first time every leaving the country, and I can truly say that it was the best decision I ever made in my life. I miss it so much 🥺 Murakoze, Rwanda. You changed my life forever.
Much Love from Rwanda
Come again and tell others about the good things you saw here, tell us also what we need to change to do and be better!
Be blessed
11th shock: How green it is.
Looks like I got my first international trip sorted.
Green everywhere
It's equatorial Africa, not the Sahara. What did you expect, snow?
@@stevek8829 I knew it was green but didn't expect it to be that green. 😀
Man, I'd love if everyone got out and cleaned their streets. That's proper community spirit.
or quite a repressive government...
@@Ba-pb8ul No, not like that. I've seen government initiatives in all sorts of places that are beneficial
In Rwanda's case, it's a repressive government.
@@TheDoctorDoesGames Well isn't that a shame? So they're forced to do it?
@@TheDoctorDoesGames actually most Rwandan's at least what heard enjoy it and it not really inforced as you get a fine( which most don't ) . They say it more like the mask enforcement of covid than anything. They also use it to talk about what they need to improve.it helpful as schools houses roads and more are buildt too which makes it nice as everyone apart of the building of their country.
Great video bro, I visited Rwanda in 2018 and was amazed, it's got to be the cleanest country in the world.. When I got back to London I was ashamed at the streets..Rwanda is an advanced country in many ways
I'm glad they recovered from the early 90's. They all look super happy and spiritually at peace and filled with joy. God Bless them all.
That's how it felt there too
Wolters World
Absolute honor to get a reply from you, Sir. Love your videos!
I’m not so sure about that….
Wow ! Some respect for Rwanda 🇷🇼 from Pakistan 🇵🇰
I'm truly happy that Rwanda is recovering.
I haven't forgotten.
People from India should learn from Rwandan people how to keep their streets clean.
True that. Unfortunately for majority of Indians, cleanliness starts and end at home. Ppl don't care and are not ashamed of littering around as long as their homes are clean.
I never get tired of that clip (at 6:43) of the little girl in the orange skirt playing football (soccer) with the boys. I don't think it ever shows her touching the ball but toward the end of the clip she has a couple skips that show her excitement.
You are so right. I rewatched at that point. She was so excited and determined to follow the ball. Man, you did watch the details ... you made me think more to watch for the details in life. Have a blessed day.
I guess you got real emotional regarding the horrific genocide.shows your depth when you do talk about different places.new respect for you.you have a heart & you do care about what you say.reall y Appreciated.
I just barely got back from a European trip, which was my first time out of the US. I'll have to add Rwanda to my list!

World travel is a wonderful thing for the mind and soul. It opens up your world view and shows your country of origin isn’t the center of the universe.
I know when I started traveling it had that effect on me. Although I’m proud to be American I also see that there are many other wonderful countries. In the case of the continent of Africa I think more Americans should visit its nations because I think some Americans think it’s all huts and shacks.
Thank you for this video. My mental picture of Rwanda is letters from my friend (deceased) who served with the UN forces. I never really understood his mental anguish until I read "Shake Hands With The Devil".
It is comforting to see that the country has turned itself around in a generation.
I smiled throughout the entire video. You guys are racking up the continents! The Wolters go Everywhere! Your children will be some of the most enlightened ppl, and all from 1st hand experience. They'll be able to teach so many about love, gaining knowledge and acceptance. 🤗👍🏾
That is really nice of you to say that. Thank you. I hope they will be good people.
This has not only added Rwanda to my bucket list but pushed it to the top. ❤️
we could learn a lot from Rwanda on showing pride in one's country. Great video.
Rwanda is on my bucket list.
Wow..wish every country is clean..n go green !!
I'm from 🇷🇼 wranda my pride
Rwanda is going to be one of the best countries in Africa cause they have a visa open policy for the whole world.
Welcome back to Rwanda. The place Kinigi, where you were is my home. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much! Africa has always been a big bucket list item, but I’ve also feared it because of media. But you’ve both allayed my fears, it looks wonderful!
There's no such place as Africa
@@Ba-pb8ul Well there is the continent of Africa
Tanzania, Ghana, Uganda, and Botswana are also really beautiful countries.
Nice video. Thank you for your contribution to illustrate the achievements of HE Paul Kagame and his entire team, rwandans and friends of Rwanda. Welcome back again in Rwanda.
I love the way you have described this city... I am doing a project about it, but all I heard was Genocide...
as you said, locals overcome that, forgave, and now are living happily, enthusiastic... this is an example to be follow. The city is beautiful so are the people. Good job on your video!
Thank you so much for doing this video. As always, you put your heart and soul into it which makes it even more interesting.
Awesome video. This is why I love to travel....seeing people and witnessing their traditions and seeing how they move in their spaces. Great work!
It's fascinating how many different traditions one can see throughout the world!
Awesome job Mark!! I am glad you enjoyed some of the Rwandan vegetables
WOW Mark -- this is AWSOME !!!! - thanks so much for sharing this experience- look forward to more vids of this wonderful place- thanks for educating and enlightening us on this incredible place- yes I'm old enough to remember the 100 days in 1994 - and amazed on how far this country has come---thank you - thank you - thank you...
This is awesome! Rwanda is high on my list so this just makes me want to go even more. Thanks for sharing and being honest as always, Mark!
I love how loving Rwanda has become. Paul Rusesabagina, the manager that saved many people at his hotel, came to Utah State University when I was a student. He was a fun, loving man. Great video
We went to his old hotel when we were there.
I remember watching the movie Hotel Rwanda. That movie have always made me want to go to Rwanda!!!
@@woltersworld that's rad. He was a very brave man
@@WanderlustAweSyndrome I want to see it to. The people there look so kind
Hi, you need to know what Rwanda thinks about that Man!
The real story!
Walter your soul and spirit are overwhelmingly beautiful and kind. Thank you for sharing and indeed 2 months ago on my trip to Rwanda I experienced the overwhelming emotion of its beaut and resilience. I will moving there end of this year. Thank you for amazing content. :)

Just incredible! The more I learn about Rwanda today, the more I fall in love with it.
When I go out to East Africa, here are the places I plan to go: Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania!!!! These places seem to be safe and fun to visit!!!!
Amazing video , There is hope in man kind for sure . Thank you sir .
You guys are a treat to mankind.
Thank you
love this video.
Excellent! I’ve been trying to find a place in Africa to visit with the family. Rwanda looks like the place to go! So glad to hear that they’re making progress from the genocide! I felt the same way you did back then! Can’t wait to visit!
You can't take the little ones to the gorillas but can see the golden monkeys
Hi Mark! Love your videos! I was just wondering if you could make a video listing all the places you have travelled to, and the best and worst places you've been to out of those? Would be really interesting to hear about it! :)
OMG, what a beautiful smile you have. Much love ❤😘
This is the only country to visit & you feel your life isn't threatened, that's why it's the safest country in Africa ( abana biwacyu mwese ndabakunda cane kabix )🤗🤗😘😘😘
Thanks for your great advice regarding Rwanda and I wish you well.
You are very welcome
You did very well including #9 and #10 the way you did.
Thank you. I couldn't skip them but I didnt want the video to be only about them. Thanks
Great video thanks! We are planning on going next September 😁😁😁
This sounds amazing! I want to go!
You’ve sold me. I want to begin looking into a trip to Rwanda.
Congratulations on renewing your wedding vows. That's so cool. Great place to do it to
It was fun

I just now saw this awesome video, Mark. Job well done. I would love to visit Rwanda oneday. Thanks for sharing :).
Thank you so much !!!
That was awesome!! Thanks!
Thank you
I got punched by one of the gorillas which dislocated my knee at gorillas national park in Rwanda and it was a cool experience
omg, you remind me of mean girls, "one time Regina George punched me in the face and it was amazing"
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'm no gonna lie. This made me laugh
@@jessm.9320 a spiritual experience 😆😆😆
LMFAO
Hi Mark, you should visit Namibia (unless you've been before of course) I've never been myself but have studied and researched it for years. Everyone I know who has been felt privileged to experience Namibia and its amazing 1 in a million protected areas.
very helpful thank you :)
I have come to love your videos! I would have never thought to travel here
In September I'm doing a medical mission in Rwanda and I can't wait to see this beautiful country.
Have a wonderful time
@@woltersworld thank you!!!
Where?
Michaela Schmidt where?
How did it go?
Thank you for the video.
You are very welcome
TY for sharing Mark. I'm quite intrigued about seeing Gorillas in their natural habitat. Maybe one day
beautiful video
Never thought of going to Rwanda but now I'm tempted. I think this is the first time Mark has acknowledged the existence of vegetarians.
Rwanda is so vegetarian, you can eat different dishes / veg plates throughout the whole week.
welcome to Rwanda💖💖🇷🇼
Hi Wolter, Great video, I'm going to Rwanda next months. Could you recommend some local tours or activities.
Very nice video
Thanks. Rwanda is rising rapidly
Dang, I missed seeing you while I was there! Food is great in Kigali!
I'm inspired to visit
I’ll be flying to Rwanda 🇷🇼 to visit in 2 weeks. I was already excited, however after watching your video I’m even more excited to see this beautiful country.
Have fun! We loved Rwanda!
At first glance I thought it said 10 shocks of Wakanda. great video, hopefully I'll get to visit someday.
LOL!!!! I was thinking the same thing as he talked about the country.
Love for Rwanda. From India.
This guy is pretty spot on!
The world has changed so much, i believe any traveller from the u.s going to visit another country should always do their own research and avoid any misconceptions !
Very interesting video! We haven't been to Africa yet but it is high on our travel list of places to visit.
welcome to Rwanda, visiting Rwanda first will help you understand the continent better.
Yeah, I haven't been to Africa yet myself. Next year, I plan on making my first trip to Nigeria, Benin, Togo, and maybe Tunsia!!!
@@WanderlustAweSyndrome Rwanda is a must as a first landing on African soil, experience there breaks all myths and wrong info by western media. just make it the first or second destination, you won't regret that.
@@factsonrwanda After watching this video, I may add Rwanda to my trip.
So i would love to know if you use a specific travel agency or do you plan everything yourself? I love your videos.
Thanks so much for sharing this amazing video. So in depth and positive.
Are there any vaccines which are a requirement for entering Rwanda?
It depended what country you were coming from
The first comment is me
A rwandese
You have a great country
Wow! Very cool ❤️
I sponsor a young Rwandan girl and I'm trying to learn at least a bit about her country. Seems like a great place that's moving on together from their separate and violent past. Thank you for this video 🙂
Wawwww.
Thank you for your compassionate.
@@KundaEstate Haha that's the company's name, Compassion
You are a lovely man🌷
Just got back yesterday from Rwanda. Yes, I was surprised by how clean it was. I may disagree about the vegetarian emphasis though. Chicken and beef were at every meal. Enjoyed my time there and will return next year!
Hi also check out Uganda we also have mountain gorillas and the permit is cheap plus the rich culture and land scape, tree climbing lions our company host you if interested.
RWANDA FOREVER
I really want to go to Rwanda. I'm giving thought that it would be good for a retirement place.
A+ :)
Rwanda sounds absolutely wonderful. Would you recommend it over say Peru or other South American destinations?
Well every country is beautiful! Last year I went to amazing Colombia, great experience but Rwanda has something really peaceful and safe especially in this time of COVID. Dying to go back, feels like paradise
Vegetarian here. I had no idea Rwanda had such a wide vegetarian cuisine. Maybe I'll go to Rwanda and Ethiopia for my first visit to Africa.
Honestly the vegetarian options were amazing and way better than the meat options.

Please come visit Mother Africa! Namibia and Botswana are great democratic and safe countries too, you can look them up on CZcams if you are interested:)
Nice video. Looking for the best country in Africa to visit by October...anyone soon?
have you gone to the king's palace
That's my country
Next Philippines please
Which tour website do you recommend for Rwanda?
We used shadows of Africa. The guides were great. Service before departure was not as good as the in country service. Paul was our guide in Rwanda
@@woltersworld Thanks :)
@@woltersworld Please it's Rwanda not Ruwanda
Hello Walter's world, thank you for the video. It's beautiful and informative except for one thing. Most Rwandans are not vegetarian like you said.
Maybe it's because where you visited there was a number of them who found meat expensive. Rwandans do actually love meat.
Wow way better detroit
I hope the President stays firm and do not let outsiders pollute the country with so called business opportunity. Well done Rwandans!
I don't understand Rwanda. 25yr ago: 1M dead. Now: clean & friendly country. What happened to the murder perpetrators? Are they all free to walk around and say hullo to the tourists? I realize this is a hard Q but I'm human and I wonder about things.
TimeAndChance www.theguardian.com/world/2014/apr/02/rwanda-genocide-fight-justice
There was also a very good bbc drama re Rwanda a while back, Black earth rising. It’s very much worth watching
It is a long complicated story. It is fascinating and I cannot even come close to giving it justice in a comment sadly :( but check out the documentaries that deal with it. It's incredible
The government established unity and reconciliation today Rwandans are one.
Yes some like Rambo or Terminator were free ... it is called forgiveness.
