I will never be able to travel, but with you I can!
I do the same thing.. I watch ppl that go to Disney parks and other theme parks, ppl that go on cruses. Look at all the food they have to offer.
I second that emotion 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
You only live with once! I encourage you to try your best if you can! 🫶
Of course, you will :) I have no doubt
love Rainbow -- and also makes me think, in the same moment: R.I.P. to the Likelike " Drive-Inn" 💗💗💗
awwww i so miss the Ala Moana market too... this video makes me want to cry with nostalgia lol!!!!!!!
Taniokas has my favorite musubi. They even have a version using their ahi pattie instead of spam
I would add to that list Kahuku Corn, ONO!! I was born and raised on Oahu, but after retirement, we moved away to Arizona. We try to go home every couple of years, but Covid threw a monkey wrench into that! Hopefully, we'll get back soon ... I so miss Hawaii's foods!!
What would you say Its the best time to visit Hawaii?
@@cristinaperez5757 we like May, ALOHA!
Oooooh, _so_ nostalgic for me! Plate lunches at the Rainbow Drive-in, malasada from Leonard's, and manapua anywhere I could get one. 😋 Every time you do Hawaii content, I want to move back to live pono and be surrounded by beauty and aloha spirit. ❤❤
I lived on Oahu for 7 years and I miss it so much. 😥 We used to get Malasadas every Sunday for breakfast. I miss all the foods.
You found all the hidden and not so hidden spots. Great job!
Enjoy your channel....born in Hawaii but live in mainland...hit up these places when i visit oahu. Mahalo
😊😊😊😊😊very good videos you guys are great thanks I have Hawaiian in me from my grandmother 😊I lived in Oahu great place I love to go back there
thanks guys! itadakimasu!
You are not just food ambassadors for Japan but for Hawaii too. Great job promoting the foods, all looks delish! 😋😋
You have to try the fluffy pancakes at Aloha Kitchen in Honolulu with the fresh fruit, the pancakes are like Japanese pancakes very fluffy
Oh gosh all the food looks amazing 😍 especially the sweets ! I am craving all of them
You two are just so darn cute.
Hey Shinichi and Satoshi look at all that delicious food enjoy take care 😘❤️😍🤩🥰💯🙏🌹🌹
The Loco Moco at Rainbow Drive-in is the best!
also chili rice weiners mac salad
I've had about half of those dishes at home but there are several must trys including those 2 malasadas and the shaved ice.
Ululani's shave ice is my absolute favorite. Wanted to share with you how I was told to pronounce li hing. They told me the ng is actually silent so it sounds like li hee. If you find out different please let me know.
I haven't had the pleasure of going to Liliha bakery but hope to next time. I also love the Snow Puffy at Paalaa Kai bakery on the north shore.. Mahalo for another great video.
One day, if you have not visited, try Pig and the Lady or Haleiwa Joe's. Fresh Catch, for Poke.
Thank you for sharing all of these! The Lunch Plate had me drooling, 🤤 but the Shaved Ice with the Calamansi (Philippine Lime) flavour mixed with the rest, had me REALLY hungry! Calamansi is one of my favourite citrus fruits, and I would definitely wait in line to try the shaved ice you both got!
We love you boys!!! Always bring a smile to my face when I watch your videos. Keep up the good work.
Love how you summarized and showcased each of the must get items while in Hawaii! I need to get back to Hawaii soon....lol.
Everything looked delicious. Thank you for sharing the information
wow! I'm early to a video!! I hope you guys are doing well, I love watching your content!
Love your Hawaii content! Thank you for the recommendations!
Just the other day I bought ground beef, rice, and brown gravy to make Salisbury steak and now I want to put a over easy egg on top. Man, that Loco moco looked good. That egg yolk took that dish to the next level.
Everything else looked good too. I'd love to try poi someday, I love the taste of taro. Hope you guys are well and enjoying all your fun trips.❤😊
yummmm you almost made your own homemade Loco Moco!! 😃😃😃💗
@Tabieats, you hit all the best places on this trip home. There’s so much good food in Hawaii!
Making me homesick! Mahalo for sharing, great suggestions for sure.
Amazing video! Thank you
Can’t wait to try all these amazing places when I’m there
I always love your videos, guys, especially because I've lived in Japan and hope to head back to live there long-term. However, I never thought I'd be able to go to the places in your Hawaii videos, as I had no immediate plans to go. Well, now my wife and I are planning a trip to Honolulu in a couple months, and I am very happy to have your expert guidance on places to eat while we are there. お疲れ様でした!
I move back home next Friday on the 27th. Foodland is one of the first spots I want to go too
Also try Waiola's Shave Ice (good to have options in case travel plans change) travel tip: *always* expect a line for shave ice, especially on a hot day-- but it is always worth it!
and no hat satoshi is fire too
I was born and raised in Hawaiʻi and lived in Tokyo for 5 years)(, and everything you had are my personal favorites, too! The only things I would add are the poi donuts at Liliha Bakery and baked manapua and shumai (pork hash) to go with your chow fun and custard tarts for dessert! My parents also liked the ampan at Liliha Bakery, so maybe Satoshi might like to try it next time.
This makes me want to visit Hawaii just for the food! I didn't know about manapua until today but now I'm dying for one!
Chicken longrice would be so good on a rainy feeling sick a home day. Mild, warm, savory, yum. Its a lot like chicken noodle soup without the broth.
You two are Awesome ! You got it right ...10 Must Eats in Hawaii !!! Mahalo for sharing !
Adela’s Country Eatery all the way
Chantilly banana bread cake is the best dessert! From Liliha
Great top 10 list, but honorable mention needs to go to Fried Saimin
I love kalua pork and poi, the fatty pork with acidic poi balances really well. When i come to hawaii, first stop is rainbows to get a teriyaki burger and fries straight from the airport 😅, i agree with the 711 spam musubi, sooooo good! I enjoyed tako poke first time i tried it. Theres lots of places in hawaii ive yet to try, but i make a list of the foods i want to eat, everytime i come.😂 theres lots of places to eat and i always tell friends coming to hawaii to always ask locals the best places to eat, as they know the underated places to go to 😊
I like manapua, pork hash and half moon.
You guys Rock!
You guys are making me yearn for Oahu! I can taste the poke! The Costco version is pretty good there, too! (not in Honolulu)
Really nice video. If you are staying in Waikiki these places are a fine sample of good local food.
I love poi bowl.
My go to at Rainbows is the hamburger steak plate or the Portuguese sausage, eggs easy over with chili on the rice. For poke my favorite is Tanioka’s in Waipahu. Love their ahi and tako poke, great musubi’s there as well. They have a good okinawan sweet potato haupia dessert. Been going to Sekiya’s for over 60 years, the original shop was on Kapahulu Avenue back in the day.
Behind you where you’re eating the manapua got the best boba in hawaii, try it next time!
We had a place called Aloha Hawaiian BBQ in my city of Columbus, Ohio but they closed a few years ago. It was some of the best food. I ate there 1-2 times a week. Spam musubi became one of my favorite things to eat along with Japenese beef bowl and chicken katsu. I never did try the Loco Moco which I regret now. lol. I miss this place so much.
I miss the old drive-ins, the Ala Moana mall, Kalapana and C&K tunes. OG Oahu.
love the Mackey Feary albums too
As there is no butter in chantilly, I suppose it's crème au beurre (butter cream) on the top of the choux. It ressembles a lot to a kind of religieuse cake.
Thank you for the visit !
Poke yummmmmm food land’s is so good! These are all my favs when I visit too!
I want all of the poké and pastries ugh 🤤
Even for us locals lots of these places we've never been, the best was Shiges in Wahiawa this our go to saimin place. Thanks.
Mixed plate w/brown gravy! Nice
I make loko moko a couple of times a month. It is very comforting. I also make lomi lomi salmon. No, I'm not in Hawai'i. I'm in Wyoming!
Aaahh, I wanna make ck long rice. It's super easy to make and yummy!! Great way to use one of those rotisserie cks! Missing Hawaiian food, although we made some laulau the other day. Yay for freezers letting us store some staples!
Also, I shouldn't watch this while hungry, I have ling hing mui powder on hand to add to fruits and fruit snacks/ gummies. Love haupia! Always got manapua at Ala Moana food court too. Hungry and missing Hawai'i rant part 2 😂 ❤
Happy Satoshi is everything pure
ooh i would love to see you guys try the poke at OFF THE HOOK which is in oahu and they get fresh fish every day!!!
I love Rainbows Drive inn
The shave ice looks like guri guri ice cream. Only old time locals know what that is.
The steamed pork bun manapua looks😋
Id swap out the macaroni salad for another scoop of rice 😋
mmmm gravy 🤤
Just go down the street to Times for the tako poke. Or even Keaaumoku Seafood. Plenty of spots within a 5 minute distance if Foodland runs out for the day 😊
Times &Foodland! Nostalgia for me indeed!
Delicious looking food! Probably a weird question, but anybody remember this older japanese cooking channel, the name had something to do with runny eggs, I'm sure! lol. The name has eluded me for so long and I haven't found it.
🙌!バンザイ
マラサダ/ハウピア
You mentioned poke places in Tokyo. Are there any you recommend? I had a place I loved in Okinawa, but haven’t found one I love in Tokyo yet.
Where is the manapua from, looks good!
Aloha 🌺 🥰
You forgot Tanioka's cone sushi.... my fave.
Rainbow drive inn.. they still using mahi? It is an expensive fish or dey using a substitute similar fish.? 🤙
Do malasadas usually contain dairy products? I’d like to try them, but I have a severe dairy intolerance. If malasadas contain milk, I’ll stick to shave ice instead.
I like loads of pork in my bowl of noodles just saying ❤
insta like for my fave gay foodtubers.hawaii is lknda murrican mixed tho
Where did you get the Blondie tshirt?
any food that are local??
Hi guys. I have a business collaboration proposal that I want to discuss with you. How can I reach you privately?

How are you two not fat with all the eating. I'm jealous. 😛😛
My wife (from Japan) and I (grew up in Honolulu) love your videos.
Please do consider not promoting seven, staba, maku, Foodland and other big corporations. There are sooooo many family businesses in Hawaii that need a helping hand. Suggesting that people go to seven for the best spam musubi is... Well, let's just say shinaihogayokata.
Please go find us really the best spam Musubi.
Love you guys!
Matt and Mimi
You don't say what poke is. Vegetable or fish or what ?? !
watch at 8:32 he tells you fresh ahi with seaweed
