Yeh, bars won't fix overheating, odds are your radiator is clogged up and bars will probably make it worse. Do a proper radiator flush, with a hose pipe but reverse the water flow through the radiator, it's gonna take you half a day to do it properly but will be worth it. Or just replace the radiator, expensive but even a cheap new radiator will be better than a old clogged up radiator. But i feel a good flush will do the trick. I used to flush my cars with engine degreaser, but then you have to flush out the system many times to get every trace of degreaser out.
I just used half a bottle using the directions and it stopped my internal coolant leak. My coolant tester showed air and the purple fluid turned yellow. But after using this product i re tested and the fluid stayed purple and no air. However i did lose my heat the next day so a few days later i un hooked my heater hoses and cleaned the heater core out in rev flow and back n forth. Pinched off both hoses to not lose any or much at all. So now my heat is back to 100 percent, no engine light, no air bubbles, no fluid color change........ I cannot bel it but it stopped it. i WAS losing coolant slowly and getting an engine misfire on a cylinder. I have no radiator cap, only a pressurized resiv tank. So i used the resiv tank but after i put the cap back on i un bolted the resiv tank and shook it and held it upside down a bit while the car warmed up due to my resiv has alot of pre installed plastic baffles inside. Like a maze.
Car should run up to 30 minutes. Then if it doesn't work a second bottle should go in. It also should only be added to clear system. Flush rusty water. Impurities can screw up seal.
I have a brand new radiator in a box I could have sold you cheap for your particular car and year. I had one of your cars and I loved it it's one of the best cars I ever had spark plugs and coils were easy to change. Had over 220,000 miles on it. I even had the same color as yours and that was in mint condition. It's one of the best cars I've ever owned and quick little six cylinders. It was a very fun car to drive especially with the automatic shifter like you were shifting with a clutch but no clutch. Like I said it's a very quick little six-cylinder car these things were expensive in the day when they were new they were like 40 $50,000. I think I bought mine for like $2,500 in mint condition
This stuff is only good for buying you time. Maybe a few months maybe a year. I'm putting this in with the intention of fixing the issue in a few months. This will give me time to save money or sell it.

I have a weeping hairline crack on the radiator I've patched with JB Weld. Just wanting help with this temporary fix holding for week or so until I can replace the radiator. Everyone on a Jeep forum is telling me this will damage the system, gum up the heater core, potentially damage the water pump and on..... can anyone comment? Is it all just dissing. I'm faced with talk of destroying my vehicle if I use this, or potentially overheating if I don't and can't go without a vehicle right now
I just watched another video and the guy said ABSOLUTELY don't use this stuff. I already purchased a bottle but now I'm thinking i shouldn't. He said all of thise particles will damage other things in your vehicle.
I'm in the exact same boat. Half of people online say it works, half say its poision. I'm faced with a radiator leak and just need to keep driving a week until I can replace the radiator. Why can't I use this? They never make things easy do they
Unless you can fix what blew the head gasket in the first place like detonation from carbon build up or incorrect spark plugs then it'll certainly blow out the gasket again.

Believe me or not. Raw eggs are better than anything else you can buy. Get er hot with the cap off. Bust 2/3 eggs into the coolant and put the cap on. But only if you have a cap radiator. Not the tank style. One separate from the coore. Old kind.
@@sombradesigns1734 not a joke Jose. Works. Had the fan go into the radiator in the sticks. We were camping. This is what got me home. Over a 100 miles away from where it happened. Lol. Seriously though. It works.
@@Assarkask what I said right? It has saved me twice. One was the fan went into the radiator and chopped up the tubes in the radiator. Like 13 of them. Just took a pair of needle nose pliers and curled the broken tubes over and crimped them then eggs went down and they all stopped leaking. I was in Sterling city and had to drive to Sacramento to get home. It stayed fixed until I pulled the motor and put it in my 46 jeep. 302 ci v8 had a little more power than the 4cyl flat head did. Broke my neck and back about 1 year later when the throttle stuck open and I jumped the levy on the Sacramento river.
@@rickhilliard2545 maybe but it can also damage the engine. if you have a headgasket leak, its best to fix that. the head gasket is a very serious part of the engine.
@@rickhilliard2545Not easy to properly fix a head gasket. I paid one chimp $1200 dollars to fix it. 8 months later leaking again. Better off finding a used engine that has been verified.
I can’t believe you dont even know where it’s leaking from?…instead you just buy more and add it…..could be a cracked hose or broken/lose hose clamp and would be the smartest solution to just replace it instead of just adding the additive and hoping for the best….🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️

I use a bottle and a half on 01 odyssey In the summer. Still leaking. Less and less. Now is not leaking. Is a beater . So its good.

Do you even work on cars? The egg myth has debunked for decades. Boiled eggs will not stop a leak.
On older cars it works maybe not on modern though.

Nothing is more permanent than a temporary fix.
This stuff is a last resort if you can't get a replacement radiator or you're stranded in the desert.
