My wife and I went to Ischia last August, 2019 and really enjoyed our 8 days there! This was as good as going to Hawaii, with its tropical heat and crystal clear seawater. All of the shops and places to eat had top quality food, so tender and fresh! The ferry ride was so charming, feeling secluded from the world on this fascinating island. Your videos have all of the places we walked and where we stayed at the Ischia Ponte area, seeing the castle from our room in its many moods every day. We took a lot of pictures, but your video will serve as our way to re-visit until we go again. Thank you!

Really like your videos. It's amazing what they have done with the castle since I was stationed there 50 years ago. Always went when we were at the Island. I did spend one summer there every weekend that I could get away. Still miss the Island to this day.

Wow - what a confusing place, I would hate to lose a child somewhere in there. The arrows are only marginally helpful. It is an amazing place & must have been incredible living there with hundreds of people, altho it's very much a medieval town with everybody living on top of everybody else.Totally fascinating, the views are astounding, very beautiful ! I'd like to know your whole process of selecting a site, researching, determining your film route, and editing. Your films are fantastic and so informing. Puts the losers to shame.
Hey, well thank you! I usually travel to each location with my family first. After I've learned my way around, I plan out a route using Google earth and read as many websites as I can on what to see. Then I go back when I have time and film a walk. After the walk is filmed and edited, then I work on the captions.

Super fit? No...more like super determined. :) My knees hurt when I run..and my shoulders hurt when I lift...so walks are a good fit for me. :) I'm heading back out to the Path of the Gods tomorrow and then to Florence this weekend. I hope you have a Happy New Year! Thanks for watching!

Our family is a huge fan of your videos. So, many thanks for your efforts. One tiny favour from u which might help us a lot is if u can pls hold the names of places on the screen for a bit longer (let's say for like 10 seconds) that will be immensely helpful as we sometimes struggle with non-English names!

Thanks! I appreciate that. So I bought the gopro 6 just for that reason but... When in 60fps mode, i can no longer use my phone as a monitor which really helps me make sure i get what i want in the frame.... And I ultimately decided that was more important. However, I haven't actually filmed at 60fps and watched it on my tv
.. So maybe i don't even know what I'm missing. I'm in Capri right now with the family. I'll film the rest of trip at 60fps and see what i think. Thanks for the suggestion and thanks for watching!
@@ProWalks That makes sense. It really depends on the display's refresh rate, but 60 fps on a good display is so much easier on the eyes for sure.
Castello Aragonese reminds me of Mont Saint-Michel in France and St Michael's Mount in Great Britain.

Amazing video, how did you reach Ischia, ProWalks? By ferry from Naples? Did you do a day trip ? Thank you.
Hey Alex, every time I've gone to Ischia I've taken the ferry from Pozzuoli. When I go to Capri I leave from Naples and when I go to Procida I leave from Monte di Procida. I've always gone to Ischia just for the day. When I did the Sant'Angelo walk, I rented a scooter at the port and rode over which took about 40 minutes.

Hey, yeah. Fly into Naples. Take the Alibus from the airport to the ferry port and go right from there. Or arrive by train to the Naples station and take the Alibus to the ferry port. You could also take the metro to Pozzuoli and take the ferry from there. ..or leave from Naples and then return to Pozzuoli, explore Pozzuoli and then take the metro back to your hotel in Naples..or the train station.

Excellent walk through the castello. You only missed to visit the inside of the Chiesa della Madonna della Libera. This is the only one of the many former churches of the castello that actually looks like a church inside.
I have a comment though. You applied too much colour saturation in the post-processing. The colours look exaggerated and unnatural. Otherwise great work.
Yeah, when I walked by I saw the door was closed so I just kept going. Maybe it was open I and just had to open the door but...maybe you'll be the only one to notice. :) About the color....you are probably right. I went back and forth with the color correction. That is the hardest part about post-processing for me mainly because I'm not great of an editor. I'll try to keep things more natural on the next one. Thanks for pointing it out and taking the time to write.
So I hate to even admit this...but I did not realize how far off the color was on my monitor. I knew the saturation was high in the video but I thought it looked pretty good until I watched it on a different monitor and then on my TV. Yeah, the color is much too saturated. I need to adjust my monitor apparently.

Yeah, definitely! I actually rented a Vespa in Sorrento and filmed the entire Amalfi Coast....but..because of my gimbal setting at the time, the video is kind of hard to watch. I should have locked the gimbal horizonal so it wouldn't turn. Anyway...what do you want to see? Ischia, Capri Procida, Naples? That is one of my plans this summer.
The Almalfi roads would be amazing... I haven't seen much worth watching. Anywhere close to the coast in that region would be great. Plus the sounds and style of a Vespa, classic. Stay cool I am sure tourists are all over the place....
