I haven't had a problem with this because I always have a enough points to pass BUT I NEVER seem to be able to kill off Jacob. I never do his loyalty mission and still he always lives though the ending.
Thanks
@@ANCIENTWARRI0R u hate him that much?
@@ANCIENTWARRI0R just get him to do the hacker bit
I'm just happy mass effect is coming back because of the remaster. Ah I've missed this so much
Me too man me too
Huh
Same here. 😎👍
There should be three interrupts in Mass Effect 2. "Renegade," "Paragon", and "We'll Bang ok:.
Cause there is so much in STEAK!
nice
Nice! I always waited til the end of the game to do Jack's loyalty mission so I had enough paragon points to keep them both loyal.
"Take pictures!" - Joker
Man, wtf I helped her save her sister and just because I didn’t have enough speech points and had to take Jack’s side I lost her fucking loyalty ?!
BECAUSE OF A FUCKING SENTENCE THAT SHOULDN’T EVEN MATTER THAT MUCH ?
I know right. Who's the dev who thought it was a good idea?! I really want to like Mass Effect games. But I feel really tempted to play all 3 games and not play them for awhile.

Shepard:Are we good?
Miranda: Are you intoxicated?
Thanks for sharing this Dan! I did have this situation in my 2nd ME2 playthrough where I was playing a Renegon Shepard and didn't have the speech check so had done skill reset to get the Renegade dialogue to get Miri's loyalty again 😁😁
Thank you for making this video. This will come in handy, if someone in my family plays this game and highly rushes. :D
My paragon meter is maximum but the option to regain Miranda's loyalty is still unavailable.
Did you figure it out?
I love your content, keep up the good work :D
Thanks a ton!
Thanks for the tips man
miri's reaction when you pick garrus over her: "....kay" loll
Excellent video. 👍😄
My tip on faction for me2. If you want to pick any choice you want without being tied to a single path(paragon vs renegade), then do this trick near the start of the game; warning, it takes patience. On the starting mission, when you & jacob meet wilson, jacob interrupts you to lay it on the line and partially explain the situation. You can pick either paragon, neutral(not useful here) or renegade. You earn +4 pts either way. Save game. Log to the starting screen. Load your save. Jacob's dialogue starts again as you start to leave the room. Do the choices again & repeat about 300-330 times. This gets you about 90% into the faction of your choice. Play as normal at this point. Once your desired faction hits 100% it locks in place & you can pick any route you want(paragon players have access to all the blue route dialogues & renegades to all red routes). I experimented in one playthough with seeing how many non path routes you can pick before you cant easily solve the Jack/Miranda fight later in the game; it was 2. 2 renegade options as a paragon player or vice verse as a renegade player & one of them hates you. Too restrictive for my taste. Im sure other players have an easier way around this but thats how I did it.
In the fall that I can just equip a fancy hat, then boom, master of negotiations
I had the same amount of paragon as you did and even less renegade and i still didn't pass the persuasion check. Am i missing something?
I always settle the fight and make them become friends.
I didn't even knew you could lose it
You forgot to mention that even if you gain your loyalty from Miranda back after taking Jack’s side. It also kills your chances to hit it and quit it with Miranda. I don’t know if anyone else that problem but I noticed she didn’t wanna talk to me even after gaining her loyalty back.
I always have a high enough speech to satisfy both parties but yeah if I had to choose I’m gonna hit it and quit it with Miranda. 😂
I'm damn near full paragon yet I still can't get the paragon response when I go talk to Miranda. It's frustrating. I only have the mission to save the crew going through the omega 4 relay. I have done a paragon move or answer through the entire game and it's still grayed out. What am I missing?
You didn't use the Death Mask while not necessarily it pretty much guarantees that you'll have enough points to stop the fight the first time (if you use the mask ASAP) and keep it on until then
If shes the only person not loyal in your squad basically in tge last phase you just have to make sure to leave viable people to hold the line like garrus, zaheed, and geunt basically those who are fit for assults
Same. I'm deadass max paragon with a bit of renegade and she still won't ungrey that dialogue. Miranda, love, I'm sorry but I'm just gonna hope to God you make it out alive lol
@@Need_A_New_Game but you can't use the death mask inskde Normandy? Or does it give you bonus anyways
It's important to note that unloyal Miranda ends up dying in mass effect 3.
I'm pretty sure she can also be the leader of one of the roles in the final mission in mass effect 2 without dying as well.
She will die if you did not completed her loyalty mission, if you lose her loyalty later she can still survive
Can you gain Jack back too if you side with Miranda?
Also is it possible for Legion and Tali?
Never got it back but she lived somehow
The question is: Who choses Jack over Mirada?
I do because I can assign Miranda a role in the suicide mission without her loyalty and she won’t die
@@Godofire275 you can also keep Jack alive without loyalty. Just need to use Samara for the biotic field.
Me. And even that didn't help to keep her alive during my first playthrough. And first time in ME3 I missed the moment when Grissom academy was attacked, so later I found out that Jack could have been there...
Gp
Miranda works for xenophobic assholes who tortured Jack? 🤣
You need at least 3 bars of paragon to do this
She does this every playthrough (I always side with Jack) and I've yet to regain her loyalty, even though I have near max Paragon or Renegade at the time. Maybe it's bad karma since I don't like her to begin with >:{
Gaddammit! I swear! In my first playthrough I was able to have the paragon speeches for the Miranda/Jack quarrel and Talis Trial, but during ny wnd playthrough it wasnt there. Im overthinking what did I miss, now I just lost Mirandas loyalty and Tali is lonely.... Dammit! I feel like a failure
Just rally the crowd for talis trial
It has been a while but I think there is an alternate way to regain Miranda's loyalty, run Jack's mission first let them have their tussle, side with Jack, then run Miranda's loyalty mission. But again it has been a while so I could remember it wrong.
The fight is only triggered after both loyalty missions are completed, so unless there is a way to somehow repeat Miranda's mission or there was some kind of glitch in your run, it could not be done after their fight
If your paragon is high you can calm them both down and keep both of them loyal and I think it's the same if you go renegade.
It only triggers when both are loyal. Otherwise it would be an incredibly easy fix as you describe.
It’s getting really hard for me to find side jobs that give paragon/renegade points at the point I’m at in the game lol
My paragon is 1.5 tries every loyality mission.. nothing happens
I did it. Miranda survived even though I lost her loyalty.
♥
I'm doing a "middle dialogue choices only" playthrough with no paragon or renegade interrupts. Forget renegade, this method is hard-core evil. I've been saving Jack's LM to the end but I haven't even filled two bars of morality on either side. I have Garrus, Thane and Samara's left before Jack's but I think middle options only will lose Samara's loyalty and I'm waiting to see what happens when you don't use that renegade interrupt on Thane's LM.
Be a better woman is locked..how do i excess that?
❤
A serious question: I never had problems keeping my squadmates alive, but then again I was relentlessly Paragon, and always played in the Easy mode, since I was more interested in the story than the combat.
So, my question is whether or not the difficulty level modifies this kind of dialog/ interaction hurdles. If I play ME: LE in the Normal (or higher) difficulty, will I have more problems keeping my people alive?
No. Difficulty only effects the shooty part of the game.
@@themegatonmenace1224 good to know. Thanks!
It does affect the difficulty of keeping people alive in the last mission though. Some sub optimal choices will be tolerated on easy mode, but on insanity, your choices better be flawless.
@@dominicmoras4283 No it doesn't.
@@themegatonmenace1224 I thought I read it somewhere, but I can't find it no more. I guess you are right then.
Just finished ME2 LE, tried to sway Miranda back to my side for the rest of the game, my paragon was never high enough, and it got pretty high. Then Miranda didn't survive the Suicide Mission. Probably because she wasn't loyal. That's what you get for being a baby, Miranda.
This mathematical / calculating approach is exactly what I always disliked about Mass Effect. How am I supposed to role-play if my actions aren't determined by what I think is right, but instead by what the game allows me to do, based on some bullshit numbers? Generally, I am not a cheater, but I have never regretted just maxing out those bars via the debug console. And just like that, the game becomes a lot more meaningful, because now I can say what I really think, without having to worry about bullshit stats.
If you are role-playing urself, well tahts just an adventure not actual roleplaying by diffinition.
But their is a soultion to boost the paragon/renegade point at the beginning of the game without the debug console. It's a trick about a reload-jacob-dialog.
She's better than ash 😂
You need so much good behaviour it’s so annoying cus I didn’t know
