    Dhal belongs to the lentil family. Sarang ( nest) burung (bird). So its a bird's nest roti canai.

    Not just Malaysia, Singapore too but we call roti prata. The one in London is frozen prata and always the plain version and offer thick curry instead of curry sauce.

    It can be dangerous though hiking like that (not on proper trails or permit) in malaysia. And like you said its the weather… so things can happen (landslides, trees falling down, etc). There have been many cases of hikers getting lost requiring massive search effort from local authorities.

    Next time eating roti canai ask for kuah campur, they'll mix the curry & dhal together and you can add on sambal according to your spicy.. and one unique thing, in Kelantan state, the local add on sugar into the curry to dip the roti canai..

    Teh/Kopi kosong = Tea/coffee without sugar and milk
    Teh/Kopi O = Tea/Coffee without milk (but with sugar)
    Teh/Kopi C = Tea/ Coffee without sugar (but with milk)
    Teh/Kopi Kurang Manis = Teh/Coffee with less sugar
    and if you want it cold just mention "Ice" at the end of each of any of the abv nouns. exmple: Teh O Ice = Cold Tea without milk, Kopi C Ice = Cold coffee without sugar.

    u come to the right place, roti = bread. canai = flatting something. iced tea in malaysia, usually come with condensed sweet milk. tea "o" ice = ice tea with sugar only. iced tea 'o' kosong= tea only.

    Kopi: Coffee with condensed milk.
    Kopi-kow (as in cow🐮😂) : Strong brewed coffee with condensed milk. “Kow/Gau” means "rich" in Hokkien.
    Kopi-C = Coffee with evaporated milk and sugar.
    Kopi-C-kosong = Coffee with evaporated milk but no sugar. The “kosong” means “nothing” in Malay.
    Kopi-O = Coffee with sugar only which is “black coffee” in layman's term.
    Kopi-O-kosong = Coffee without sugar or milk.
    Kopi-O-kosong-kow = Strong brewed coffee without sugar or milk.
    Kopi-peng/Kopi-ice = Coffee with milk, sugar and ice.
    If u want tea instead of coffee, replace the word 'kopi' with 'teh'. Hope i got it right lol

      diff in preparation n taste.. roti canai the dough is stretched while roti paratha is rolled to flatten the bread.. roti canai is fluffier while roti paratha is more densed.. singapore’s version the taste is same like the malaysian one.. they only retain the name ‘paratha’ or known there as ‘prata’…

    Kachapuri is bread, cheese and eggs but sarang burung is just fried bread and half boiled eggs in the middle. U can also use the malay word ENAK means yummy or same as sedap.

    Roti canai actually it's from chennai India it's called parata if you visit India go to South India,Tamil nadu,hyderabad,kerala you taste the most delicious food briyani,parata,thosai,murthabak everything available it's a food paradise 😍

      Canai is also amaly word meaning to spread thinly...hence d technique...i dont think it comes from Chennai...as it existed even before Madras became Chsnnai as it is known today. But true it originates from Indian bread paratha...

    Just happened to watch ur vids 2 days ago from Singapore. I do enjoyed it, but just kind and friendly advise, not to have too much of the "hmm hmm hmm" sounds, its really unnecessary and sounds like a asmr youtuber" hungryfatchicks' and this is what makes her annoying. Just advise not too much on it, everything thats too much will become annoying.       Yes I'm Indian but in the UK or in India I've mostly eaten Naan, Paratha, Roti (but more like Chapati-style bread) or Thepla - so there're nothing like to ROTI CANAI 🙇🏽‍♂️
