I didn’t know and tuned mine to EAE for the first week. Actually still sounded pretty good and taught me fast that a dulcimer is truly a versatile instrument
Thank you for this I have a mountain dulcimer and needed to know the tuning scheme
Thank you so much for this. It worked so well. I added the app on my phone and followed your direction and now it sounds GREAT. Thank you very much!!
What app-?
The 3 Course Greek Bouzouki has the Same tuning but it's Chromatic so you can play in any key
Very helpful. They recommend on my trail dulcimer G D G ( like the Strumstick ), was having trouble keeping it in tune. Went down to Chanzy tuning ( Tuva ) F C F, it keeps falling out of that so ready to try D A D and see if it stays.
Follow up: success! A little dark, but hey that’s my sound lol. Just have to learn the noter. Effects pedals are awesome with it.
Nice, Good help🧙♂️👍
Thank you, Seaman! :) 🐋
Thank you.
Love the Pano Tuner so much I paid for it.
Thanks
Video production is pretty bad. When tuning the high D string(s), the camera is behind your head, thus we can't even see which string you are plucking.
I made this late at night all alone, for my 6th grade class to use, and since it's 'public' other people like you can happen upon it. I wish I could say I spent thousands of dollars for a video crew to run a high-grade production for you, but I can't afford that, either in money or time.
You can literally see him adjusting the knobs, therefore understanding the plucked string. But i guess you're still not in that stage of life yet
Is the bottom D the one below the middle C?
