Talking Cars in the Volkswagen Polo GT TSI

With the Hyundai i20 N Line coming we thought we would revisit the Polo GT TSI and establish a baseline. We have had quick hatchbacks like the Punto Abarth, Baleno RS, and Tiago JTP and recently the Altroz iTurbo, but none has been as successful as the Polo GT TSI. So what makes it so popular, we find out.

I own a Polo GT 2021, and had watched many reviews as to regarding the change from DSG to Torque converter.Even Baiju n and other auto youtubers
As explained torque converter is better for a small city hatch, but I was always thinking why Nobody has mentioned the shift smoothness of the Dsg and the minor jerks in 2 and 3rd gear, which should have been done. Vivekji there mentions it well and the feeling you get when u hold the steering is also true.
Have been using it for few months now and must say apart from not describing much about the exterior, which is dealt by other reviewers, and I guess is not impotant and why the 'talking car subscribers' watch this channel, is for the remaining points you have talked, one reason why we love talking cars...I must say Polo GT well explained. 👌

@@aswinas464 Watch the review again..They talk in detail about DSG and torque coverters..Depends on what your priority is..Torque coverter is less maintenance, and good for traffic..The thing missing is the shift smoothness and timing of DSG. u miss it once you drive a Dsg after using torque coverter for long..Or else it won't matter

Yeah bro the same experience and the same thing was indulgently from my side too. I also own a Polo GT 2021 and also searched a lot about the videos that has mentioning about the differentiability of the transmissions. But the fact that each vlog always keep a step ahead with the DSG gearbox. But in this video from the talking cars clearly and precisely they had presented it about the pros and cons of both the transmission. Anyway I was satisfied with my new polo GT 2021 because of mainly it had a better fuel efficiency than the DSG and the DSG was too thirsty for fuel😅..

@12:32 the problem I am facing with my polo has not been fixed even with this new update . Polo comes with very fragile AC vents and the vent clip will break or goes missing . Like with this particular car there are no vent clips on first and second AC vent 18:48 vivekji addressed it😆; we cannot buy the clips alone we have to replace entire AC vent

GT TSI stood out from all other automatic hatchbacks just because of its DSG gearbox. So it’s a personal preference for many. I prefer the DSG even after keeping its maintenance in mind 😬

Good review, for people on a budget and need Japanese reliability the petrol Swift and the old Etios 1.5 petrol are the best bets. The relaxed naturally aspirated engines have a special charm.

Yes good question. Me too have the same doubt. I use to put to neutral first and then put in handbrake. Then to P. If we do the other way I have noticed engine vibration increases as the vehicle load is on gearbox. But need to hear more about that from you guys.

@@abhilashnb5540 I know that dude I had owned two fiat cars one was a 2011 Punto 1.3 diesel , in 2014 we bought a facelift Linea which is also in diesel of course 😂😂. The steering feel from both of these cars are absolutely sensational 💥 you can feel that enthusiasm around the corners when you push it a little hard also. But as of now we own a Honda City 2019 facelift version in Diesel. Even though city is good in terms of handling its way behind when compared to Linea in terms of stability and either steering feel or feedback 😕. This is the note from a fiat fanboy 🥺😖😭😭😭😭.

@@bestcarpicks Polo has way better handling than Punto. Punto is painfully slow in a racetrack. 100bhp Baleno is faster than 145bhp Abarth Punto in a race track. Swift, Polo will run circles around Punto. Punto is not an agile car with akward driving position it's hard to get the best out of it. Due to hydraulic power steering it does have more weight but manoeuvring in city is a pain.

Better to have some spare ones for all the wheels.. I used to buy it from AliExpress.. a pair cost only around rs400.. replacement is as easy as plug and Play and one can do it if you have a 5 no Allen key
