  • In this webinar, hosted by the National Gang Center (NGC), researchers from the Urban Institute present the practice guidance from the "Reducing Youth Gun, Gang, and Group Violence" project, as well as some of the key findings from the research synthesis and environmental scan on which that guidance is based. Practitioner panelists speak to how this guidance relates to the work they are doing in their communities, including the need for interventions to be individualized by the specific place, problem, and cultural context in which they are implemented.
As a result of this webinar, participants will be able to:
    • Summarize practice guidance on reducing youth gun violence associated with gangs or groups and the basis on which that guidance was developed.
    • Recognize how the practice guidance is relevant to the different stakeholder groups that work to address violence (e.g., local government, law enforcement, community-based organizations, funders, researchers).
