Ive got two rods that i probably want to extend by around 15cm. I dont have and old rod blanks though.

I have a falconrod I purchased and the first time I used it one of the eyes came off. I could slide it back in but it continues to slide back out. I tried hot melt glue for the tip tops but it won’t hold. Should I attempt to scrap the factory epoxy off cut the threads and retry or should I get the hot melt glue off put it back on and try to get some epoxy in behind the factory epoxy?

Since it's very difficult to get one piece 9 ft., 9.5 ft, and 10 ft. Rods shipped - please make a video on the easiest process to add 6 to 12 inches onto the back of a 9 footer. Thanks!
