    Yes! I'm ordering my Fantom 08 next week, and the main vst's I'll be controlling will be Komplete, this is one of the first things I'll be trying. Love Glaze too! Thanks again 😊

      Cheers! It's a pretty versatile keyboard you'll enjoy it!

      Got the keyboard yesterday, done this and it works great! Of course it works ok with Kontakt, but only per-instrument rather than globally like Complete Kontrol @@GammaLensMedia

    Did you try the Ableton DAW Control ? If your Fantom is connected to the PC via USB you can do a lot of Ableton stuff right from the fantom. You even get the Ableton Session view on the Fantom Touch screen.

    • @GammaLensMedia

      I have tried the Ableton DAW control. However, I haven't really gotten too indepth with it. I have fat fingers and the screen is small for me to easily navigate through it. I mainly use the push 2 to control Ableton. But I have all my midi controllers CC setup the same. That way I can control all my vsts on each controller the same way.

    Thank you for your video. It was very clarifying. I have one question, if you can answer me, please: on the modx there is a fader to usb level (daw level), next to the master volume fader. Furthermore, there is a volume knob for the Analog inputs from the back panel. This is amazing for playing live with two keyboards and virtual instruments from a laptop. That let all de control of volume in your hands. So, here is the question: how is this scenario on the Fantom 0? To summarize the question: is it simple to control the volume of the usb and analog inputs on the fly, in live situations, on Fantom-0, like it is on the modx? Thank you!

      @GammaLensMedia  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Honestly, I've never used the fantom 0 in a live scenario. The output knob on the top left will control the total output volume from the board. However, I'm not sure about the vst volume.
      You can, in theory, assign the faders as well to a cc number. If you're using Ableton Live, the volume can be assigned a cc number as well. Top left-hand side "MIDI" button. You could probability make a template to corelate with the midi cc assigned to those faders. If that makes sense.

    Did the scene you saved work on Komplete Kontrol entirely or just that one instrument? Would you be able to assign something to scroll through Kontrol presets on the main screen? I've been contemplating getting a Fantom 07 instead of a Kontrol MK3 if it can be programed to do basically the same things.

    • @GammaLensMedia
      @GammaLensMedia  Před 4 měsíci

      So, the scene can be used throughout all of Konplete. It also can be used throughout all of your vst plugins. You would have to manually set up each plugin to use those midi cc numbers.
      Unfortunately, you can't entirely replicate a komplete controller because their integration is very well done on their controllers.

    Nice video bro, I've been watching your videos, both on the Fantam 06 and the SL MK3, because I'm wanting to buy one of them but I'm not sure which one to choose, I understand that they have different proposals despite having a lot of things in common, but I would really like your opinion on what would be the best option for an intermediate user.
    I normally use Ableton to play with some plugins that I have, another question I have is whether the tones that come with the Fantom 06 are really good and if you use them instead of plugins?
    I would be very grateful for the answer!
    Nice job bro, tks!

    • @GammaLensMedia
      @GammaLensMedia  Před 2 měsíci +1

      That's a difficult one to answer. The SLMKIII is very multi purpose. It has a ton of advantages when it comes to multi instrument control. It's definitely great bang for your buck. But it has a big learning curve initially to setup.
      The fantom 0 separates itself because it has sounds built into it. It's versatile but not quite like the MKIII. It's a great peice of equipment to get started in the Analog gear world.
      If you're interested in analog equipment and having Roland's sounds I'd go with the fantom. If you love the digital space and like sequencing then I'd go with the slmkiii. It's a good midi controller all around in my opinion.

    Interesting. So if I want to connect multiple external synths into the Fantom and into DAW, how would that work?

    • @GammaLensMedia
      @GammaLensMedia  Před 2 měsíci

      That's a tough one. You can send midi out on channels 1-16. Then, route your external synths back into an audio interface that your DAW can receive audio (and / or mixer) depending on how many inputs you have.
      Brief description, but it will take time to make sure it functions properly.

    I can't figure out how to get pro tools to control my fantom when I'm wanting to record patterns or individual tracks on the sequencer, onto a track in pro tools. do you have a video on how to accomplish this or could you pleaser make one? thanks

    • @GammaLensMedia
      @GammaLensMedia  Před 3 měsíci

      Unfortunately I haven't used protools in a very long time. I'd suggest searching for recording live instruments into protools.
      It should be the same process. (Easiest)
      You need to route audio from the fantom into an interface and make channels in protools to receive that audio.
      Or if possible the fantom can be used as an interface inside your DAW however I'm not sure the setup process is for protools to accomplish that..
      Best of luck

      @GammaLensMedia thanks.... I'm not having a problem recording on pro tools.. I just want it to start the sequencer on fantom when I'm recording so it's in sync. I was an avid. cubase user and knew how to do it on there . I will figure it out sooner or later. or maybe I will go back to cubase lol

    do you know if it's possible to control the roland cloud vst's from the fantom as if they were installed on the fantom?

    • @GammaLensMedia
      @GammaLensMedia  Před 4 měsíci +1

      You might have to program the cc information onto the vst individually the way you want it to be used. For example you can program the faders with cc info as well. It won't be perfect but you could program it the way you like. As far as the model expansions (vsts in zenology) I haven't programed them yet to see. But it would be different because the model expansions are controlled from the fantoms screen instead of the knobs on the top left hand of the board.

      @feikeuphoff4309 Před 4 měsíci

      Thanks for your answer. I had hoped it was then like editing an Model Expansion on the device itself. Without the cumbersome and not memorable midi editing.

    My feedback: you have a very great way to annunciate your voice. You don’t speak 1,000,000 miles a minute so it’s very easy to follow what you’re saying while doing other things. I honestly am sick of Diaz. I’m sorry he’s very smart, but he just talks and talks forever.
