“The person who thinks their a star” is literally my “best friend” because when she got a solo she was an alto meaning she sings in a medium tone but at the concert she tried to hit a high note because all the parents including Hers and mine were there so It sounded like she was choking and she basically tried to outshine everybody else because I had a also had a solo that same day and so did our other friend so when it got to my solo she pushed me when I was walking down the steps to front so I would fall,make a fool out myself and she would probably have to step in but I made it down and sang my solo twice bc the first time no one could hear me bc I didn’t have the mic then after my solo she tried to get me off task of singing so I would be distracted and she could look like the perfect angel but it didn’t work. (By the way I’m also an alto)😅

Im in Choir now and I realized how true this is. There’s a guy who doesn’t know how to blend in, a guy and a girl who don’t sing and blame it on something, and the choir director making a lot of gestures telling us to quiet down or whatever, and then someone who does something extra but messes it up, someone who does the wrong vocal technique, and me. I usually sing okay but sometimes I sound like a duck. And I get sick too often but I love singing anyway. And the people next to me happen to be loud and they already take vocal lessons, so they get hear own parts sometimes and that messes me up because the notes we have to sing are completely different and they sing really loudly next to me. Almost end up singing their part

@@programmerpanda Not any more! We improved a lot! And I guess I was probably using the wrong technique, but that technique is only good for harmony as I am also now in soprano. I have to kind of belt or sing it loudly and that technique helps with it, but it’s not good for solos
This was me when I joined choir last year, but now I got it down. It's just sometimes I can't blend in my voice. I'm also going to try to get into Honor Choir, it's just you got to sing solo in front of judges😭

Most people in my choir don’t sing AT ALL and they don’t even lip sync most of the time, they just sit there. Earlier this year, me and two other girls from my part (part 1) got chosen for a descant and since we were singing our own part, everyone else in our part completely fell apart. Evidently, they had just been relying on us three and my director even pointed it out!
