Scottish man city fan here - this guy is everything you'd want your daughter to bring home , honest , hard working, over came his own issues with speech etc and captained an unbelievable club ! This is who I'd like my son to look upto , a real role model ! 🏴👏

What an absolute gent. Always wore his heart on his sleeve and that's all you can ask from a player. Never once did he not give his all. Big part of bringing Leeds back to the Premiership and you should be very proud for the career you had here. All the best Luke.

One of a handful of players I've watched growing up with Leeds United who will stand the test of time as a bonafide Leeds legend. Throughout on and off games, you could tell Bill always gave his all, and that's all we ever want. Playing the game equally with a snarl and a smile, and being respectful, genuine, and humble at the same time.
MOT Bill, you were there for us, and we're there for you.
I'm not crying. You all are. This was a heart-wrenching message of goodbye. Impossible not to empty the tear sacs.... A truly wonderful servant for LUFC and gentleman on and off the field. Someone from the South went up North, lived and breathed Leeds. A warrior who got Leeds, embraced Leeds and is now forever a Leeds lad. Thank you very, very much, Luke. A hero, a modern day LEGEND has now left us, not turned his back on us. We wish him well at Boro. May he have his final football chapter in his beloved Yorkshire in Gods Own County.
Feeling very emotional after watching Lukes farewell. An absolute gentleman both on and off the field. I've been a Leeds United fan for 50 years and for me Luke Alying Is one of a very few players who put his heart and soul into the club, shirt, and the fans. Luke forever a legend at Elland Road. 😢
Boro fan here, seeing your fanbase, players and club as a whole with such an outpouring over love and respect says everything about the player we're getting.
Just thought you'd like an update, he made his debut today, full 90 and he made a huge difference, his leadership qualities are plain to see and he'll help us no end hopefully get into the play offs with you guys.
He went into a crunching tackle in the build up to our equiliser! We'll take good care of him!

I always said Bill and Stu were both the heart and soul on the pitch and outside the pitch as well. This man would have gone through a ring of fire if necessary for the club.
