Excellent as always. Love these "play-alongs.," which show the actual score and enable me to hear an accomplished trumpeter's sound. I'm in my early 70s. Getting back to the horn after a 50+ year hiatus. So, let's see... if I continue to eat healthy, keep exercising, get enough sleep, stay hydrated, and practice at least 2-4 hrs each day, I should be able to handle this piece about half as well (at a bit slower tempo!) in approximately 5-7 years. Nice to have goals.
5-7 years and practicing 2-4 hours a day? You could easily handle this piece after a year at that pace.

Andrea is a gift to trumpet players and anyone who appreciates music and artistry at the highest level. Whatever the style, he interprets and technically performs so well. I think he’s a Yamaha artist, but does anyone know what horn he is playing here?

Absolutely love how your body language showed the love you have playing this along with the tempo. The dynamics are wonderful and it's as if you were directing as you were playing. I do that too. Lot of jazz trumpeteers choose to do it that way too. Just grows into a habit.

My teacher (A professional trumpeter and conductor of the Ford's band in Dagenham) actually told me to overhang the fingers. I never did, and always use the fingertips.

I really like the way he's playing the trumpet. Usually people use the tips of their fingers when pressing the keys, but this new way seems much more free flow and relaxed, not having to curl your fingers or wrist. Nice and different technique!
