    Vinyl wrapping a hood can be challenging a lot times. This really depends on how large the flattest area is, but there can also be other factors to consider. Generally speaking, the larger the flat area is the more difficult it can be due to the film sitting tightly against that large flat area. The larger flat areas tend to make it more difficult to squeegee the air out. There are techniques and tricks you can learn in this video when it comes to installing a film that isn't pressure sensitive such as Colorfusion from Vvivid, but also a vast majority of materials / brands on the market.

    PSA for anyone looking to use this film...
    So I just finished my hood in the Midnight Black. I love how easy it was to wrap. The only issue I have is that you can see where I pushed out bubbles with a wrap glove. I pushed the bubbles like you would with any other film (nothing crazy) but that left indentions in the film that can be seen in the sun. The website says "It is suggested to apply the film while holding excess material off the surface. This will prevent trapped air and distortions in the in film. In the event of bubbles, press the bubble softly or puncture to let air out." That's definitely the case with the Midnight Black...emphasis on softly because even typical bubble pushing pressure seemed to leave distortion.
    I'm doing my trunk next so I may provide an update.
    Above all else, thank you CK for all the years of content you've taught me a ton on wrapping cars.
    Update: Working with that knowledge described earlier it did come out way better on the trunk, but it is a very touchy wrap in regard to discoloration when viewed in the sunlight.

    I admire how calm you stay about all the challenges. I guess that comes with experience but still this is great work! It is also amazing how you do it just by yourself.

    Do you see there being much difference in conformability/stretch between the Satin and Gloss Colorfusion films?

    • @CKWraps
      @CKWraps  Před 4 měsíci

      They both stretch and conform exactly the same way. The gloss however is much more difficult to install because it's vulnerable to lift and glue lines.

    ceramic coating you'd recommend i could use to apply to it after install, for an extra thing for making it even easier to clean ?

    Can you wrap bumpers with this like vinyl films? also does this leave glue lines like vinyl films?

    It looks so easy... Great work 👍
    Why do you buy a Jeep or a car in general in red 🥺

    How much shrinkage w that tpu? Are you adding any adhesive promoter for the edges?

    • @CKWraps
      @CKWraps  Před 4 měsíci

      There is zero shrinkage due to it being TPU. The only shrinking it does is if the film is over stretched.

  • @KK001
    @KK001 Před 4 měsíci

    This stuff is extremely expensive for someone buying in europe. It totals about 2500$ for a single roll to ship to Norway, where as kkwraps ultra gloss tpu lined film is about 800$ for the same amount.

    • @CKWraps
      @CKWraps  Před 4 měsíci +1

      You get what you pay for. There's a reason why their film is 3 times less expensive.

    • @KK001
      @KK001 Před 4 měsíci

      @@CKWraps i get that its a much better product, but what i was commenting on is how throughout the series you were saying how this stuff makes cast film irrelevant because it costs basically the same or a little more. Like even in canada it costs i think double of what cast film goes for.

    Christian, man how can I get a hold of some samples, or a few pieces of this colored PPF to try out / practice run of such?

    • @CKWraps
      @CKWraps  Před 4 měsíci +1

      I'm not sure samples are available yet, but I would reach out to Vvivid directly and see what they say.
