Barca is the non-dirt track on the top 3 of my most hated track in the game. Mt. Panorama and Autopolis are the other two. The big radius mid-to-low speed corners made life hard for me as I am just not good at figuring out the optimal speed at these corners and it is usually impossible to apply fractional braking on a controller mid corner without losing more time. This time however, the RM tyres made things quite different than when it was RH the last time we played here, where it is easy to be overspeed or far under speed. For the first time, I was able to make it to a provisional gold time on the Ferrari. I tried the 650s but the Ferrari was just better, and I will try the Nissan soon as it traditionally fits me even more (although no guarantee).
Last but not least, I'm thankful we are not getting those cars with braking glitch again, and I hope the next update can patch that bit of physics if not implement some kind of penalty for it.

Congratulations on getting the good time already. Well done mate.
I used to be terrible round here but put quite a bit of time into this track over the last year and made it so I don’t suck at it as much now.
I’m not a big fan of the Fezza but I love the 650 so just went with that. I started with the supra but had to manipulate the gears too much for my liking. The McLaren and the Ferrari are both MR cars so I find they rotate just that bit better than the FR cars and round Catalunya that’s quite important.
I wish the developers would put something in the game (similar to ACC) where you can’t just downshift as quickly as you want and that you have to time it.
These GR3 cars are so stable it’s actually hard to get the back end out on corner entry I find.

@@PM10Racing Actually my Ferrari time was already silver by the time I tried the Nissan (the one used for the RB Ring TT, not the other one) just now. Not surprising to me, the Nissan works a bit better (despite being an FR if I am not mistaken) and I came back to a provisional gold again, but just by a very very small margin. I think it would end up a silver unless I get under 1:46.5.
My best guess for my so-called improvement, as mentioned previously, was the tyre. If it were on RH, the rotational phase would have been a worse pain if I overspeed the entry, so it really takes another TT here with hard tyres and Gr. 3 to really tell if I have indeed improved sufficiently. Nevertheless, totally agree with you that practice makes a lot of difference.
Haven't had the time to play other racing sims, but yes, if PD cannot fix the issue nor implement a penalty system, they should at least cease from putting those super high power but low grip cars in a power track with hard braking zones.

I think the medium tyre is worth a good 1 second or so over the hard tyre round here.
It’s very easy to overdo the entry on hard tyres and not get the car rotated enough so you have to wait for it to turn mid corner which costs loads of time. The medium tyre makes it a bit easier as you don’t have to wait as long to get the car pointed.
Are you working on anything in particular with your driving?

@@PM10Racing Not trying anything in particular, just redoing the Circuit Experience on Nurburgring North recently as the latest update made things a bit different (again) than it used to be 2 months ago. Just curious - why ask?

@@stormmeansnowork I was just curious if you had a specific technique / skill you were working on. I’m an avid student of driving technique and I’m always looking for ways to improve my technique and ultimately get faster and more consistent.
I’m also always interested to hear what others are working on and if it’s something that I could implement.
      I promise I wasn’t being nosey 😂
