It still looks very much like stock, but so much more capable now. I took it up Sand Hollow sand dunes a few weeks ago, then to Toquerville Falls after that. It did great. My wife and I have hundreds of thousands of miles of experience in 4WD vehicles - mostly in Utah. Never a Bronco but it was on our short list of possibilities back in the day. My advice: Spend your time driving your Bronco in the back country to gain experience about capabilities and wheel placement. It will be time better spent than studying and installing modifications. It is amazing where one of those can go with a world-class driver behind the wheel. One exception: If you ARE going to invest in a modification, replace the limited slip with a locking differential (differential locker). That will allow you to retain the looks of that beautiful truck. And I don't think you can do better than the BFGs.

I used to take the top off mine solo. The later ones with the 3rd brake light and 3 point belts and trim were more a paint. Ive had lots of ttb trucks and i used to manually adjust the toe. If you back up 20ft and the wheels camber then you have too much toe in.

I got a '96 4x4 XLT, with all leather, 5.8 EFI, on a 2" lift and 30" wheels, in baby blue, all steel horizontal front grill instead of that plastic chrome, power windows n doors, and nice exhaust.
I would never leave it stock, it's not enough truck stock.
Girls LOVEEE hotboxing in it, they think it's so big and nice ;)

Paid $2900 for a really good 94 when I was living in CO back in 2009. No rust but then I moved out east and a little rust appeared over the rear fender wells. Damn I miss it but I don't miss 13mpg, lol. Hopefully the 6g gets something better.

Bought my Red sport Bronco back in 98, 19,000 miles on it at time of purchase, currently has 367,000 miles on it. Runs smooth never had to change the head gasket. It's on the third radiator but other than that no major mechanical issues. Just wish they could of done a better quality made interior the plastics back then were terrible. Il never sell it.

It is a safety feature add on easier than adding side air bags door & tube door means far strong side crash. Same idea as adding tub cage if rock or baja style driving or weekend at the track. A helmet is cheaper than air bag add, same w/race safe seat & belt.

Not taking the top off this one because it too hard to get sealed back up.
I see Kaleb is also missing the elusive rear cargo cover. I've seen them go for hundreds on ebay.
For the record O.J.'s Bronco (actually AC Cowling's) was a 93'.

A lot of older vehicles get good or better mileage, my 03 7.3 got 18.3mpg rolling 75-85 all the way from Sacramento to Abilene TX and back. With the A/C on the whole trip. My 93 7.3IDI gets the same. Most newer diesel won’t because they use fuel to regen the exhaust. How’s that better for the environment?

Modern vehicles are also heavier and more power. Tundras and F150s have nearly double the usable power, and they pushing nearly 3 tons of weight. So, if your MPG is no worse, then that's a actually a massive improvement in efficiency.

The blazer was my child hood dream truck. I bought a 1985 when i turned 23 and it was the biggest pill of junk. The steering column broke. It got stuck anytime i try to go off road and on the way to a fire call one night the motor died and left me on the side of the road just two years later. Very heart broken that my dream truck was useless. In 1994 I found a 1990 bronco thought i would give it a try and it has been the best vehicle i have ever owned. It has taken me on thousands of fire calls. Saved me and many others lives literally. It is a off road best. It has 330,000 miles on it today and i still drive it. Its not my daly but it will stay in my family until the day i die.

Swapping the heads, intake, TB Assy, and exhaust systems woke mine up. Don't forget to upgrade your injectors to 19lb explorer EV3 injectors. They are drop in. Then look up the sixlitre timing bump. You'll have gobs of torque and your mileage will improve a bit.

the tops on this year range is harder to remove than 91 and older. 2.5 to 4 inch suspension lifts work great on these for clearance. 6 inch or larger lifts are a little overkill unless built for specific purposes. i would keep the exterior the same but suspension and engine mod if wanted. they can always be replaced to factory later.

Watching this makes me miss my 1994 Bronco. Mine was an XLT but had the same engine. Unfortunately, my daughter didn't know the role that coolant played in the engine and it seized up on her and my wife didn't think it was worth putting a new engine in. I probably would still have otherwise.

I'm sure you could turn around and sell it for 12000 today.
I just paid 8200 for a 1995 XL and really good original shape but not near as good as yours.

That one is nice enough to keep stock with prices what they are today. Find a beat up one to make a prerunner out of. And the 351 was auto trams only in the 1/2 tons. The Mazda built m5od wasn't durable enough enough to live behind a 351.
But it somehow lived doing 3500 rpm 5 liter clutch dumps in a 89 f150 short bed 2wd......it was treated like a lightning before the 1st gen lightenings were even a thing. 😄
