I am disappointed when a senior actor like Manoj Bajpayee says that films have no impact on people. I have seen movies like Tare Zameen Par, 3 idiots and Dangal having a huge impact in changing the minds of Indian parents forever. When people abuse in movies and that is made to look cool then people do that more openly, so many criminals have been inspired by TV shows and movies as well.

The director clearly established it is the conflict between two negative characters. It is not a good vs evil. But critics are putting good vs evil tenplate on this. In animal park, Rannvijay gang also facing karma.
Director only kept suspense how old Rannvijay is saved.
I wont take movie to my personal values. Personal values and enjoying filmmaking are two different things but some are so woke that they judge personal values by one film they appreciate. I like 12th fail and also animal. We have different mental zones for different films. So people who like animal can also appreciate 12th fail.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali has a mastery in portraying female characters and shades thereof whereas Sandeep Reddy Vanga has mastery in portraying Male characters and shades thereof.

Can someone please explain why it triggers feminists? I didn't find one thing that goes against feminism in it. The alpha male keeps getting hit continuously by his wife, but he shows being monogous as a virtue. The polygamous women beater is the main villain. Alpha male's wife is NOT a housewife under normal circumstances.
I thought this was a full on feminist movie, with bad dialogue writing though!

Well that's very far fecthed yes animal is also gory but in terms of story it could have done a lot better in second half don't get me wrong but they should have explored more of father son relationship and beleive me if they had hit the heart of story properly the movie would have been masterpiece.

Even though the Animal was okayish movie, but the success of this movie made me soooo happy, for the director Vanga, he has now gotten to a level where he can make anything and studio would support him and not interfare, that type of freedom isn't enjoyed by everyone in movie industry and I'm so glad Vanga got it with just second film of his in bollywood, can't wait for his next project

So, bunch of guys talking about misogyny in films. This exemplifies the problem with Hindi cinema. They just don’t get it.
Arshad made a good reference of Kill bill. Uma Thurman’s character kills so many men and that was cool, but everyone is talking about Animal. Ranbir’s character is getting slapped by his wife in a few scene was fine. Dumb host.
It’s not about moral compass. The movie is ridiculous, apart from performance of Ranbir there is absolute nothing in the movie. You don’t feel connected with character unlike Kabir Singh which was really engaging movie.

Director clearly established character is bad. So we cannot connect with bad character. I mostly connected with rashmika, ranvijay sister and Anil Kapoor wife character because they are the only people who are trying to bring them on track. So director did not justified main character. He is telling listen to wife and mother. But character is blindly obsessed with papa papa..papa..due to that he lost everyone. He can protect papa from killers but he cannot protect papa from cancer is the irony that movie ended it's 1st chapter. In 2nd we see how ranvijay cousins are going to suffer for ranvijay actions.
