  • The skating segment of the 2021 Montreal Summer Weekend Camp is held at the Complexe Sportif Bell.
Efficient skating is moving in a way that keeps your posture and feet set. We promote c-cuts as the primary source of movement due to their low energy consumption. Nick Dahan covers c-cuts, t-pushes, shuffles and power-slides in a level 1 skating session.
    3 key teaching moments:
    - How to stop properly with one foot - see 2:19
    - When T-Pushing, we push & pull the power-leg - see 2:49
    - Power-Sliding twice on the ice to get across in good form - see 4:48

Man i cant get enough of these videos. Just a beer league goalie who switched from ball hockey to ice only a year ago but your videos have helped make the transition pretty easy.

Hi Mr. Dahan, I love your videos. I'm a goalie for the Vegas Jr. Golden Knights and your videos help me improve so much. I had a tournament in Utah 2 weeks ago, I used what you said in the video, and we won! Thank you for your words of advice

Non-goalie coach here. These are great! Such a weakness of mine and I hate when I feel like goalies are just there as an accessory to a drill. This gives me a ton of stuff to work on and make practice more beneficial to them.

As a coach who was a goalie. Biggest thing coach to help your goalies is getting them shots in practice for game time looks. Conditioning, Angles, Shots, skating, puck handling.

One thing I’ve notice about one of the goalies is that when he’s skating his head is almost looking at the ground 2 feet in front of him rather than straight up. 2:42
