what kind of jump cue do you use?
Hey love your videos I use the dart method how can I improve my aim with a floating bridge
Excellent video!! Thanks Niels!
What I love about Niels' video is that he explains accurately and briefly.great video man!stay safe and more power to your channel!😊👌💯🇵🇭
Thanks Niels, this is exactly what i need. Very easy to understand the shot
We as pool fans are extremely fortunate to have a superstar player like Niels sharing how to do it right. I appreciate him greatly. Thanks Niels 🎱
Best tutorial I've seen on jump shots out there!!
Neil's, just what I needed. I have been trying to learn to no effect, now that I have your video, today Friday December the 2nd. I will go to the pool room and learn it following your instructions. Upto now I was using my arm, not my wrist, and most times the shot failed. THANKS AGAIN !
Wow, it's so clear. A bulls-eye explanation. Thanks my master 🙏
Thanks I’ll try it
Thanks!
Good Job on the video Niels, Well explained.
Great content as always 👏
Made my first successful dart jump shot today pocketing the target ball... thanks Niels.
Nice!!! Good to hear. Keep it up 🔥
I have a really bad shoulder, and have to do all my jumps with the dart method.
I struggle with accuracy on long shots, but I can get over the ball no problem.
There is a couple things that I think you should include in this instruction.
1 is a pause on the backstroke. This is excellent for making sure you don't jerk and keep wrist straight.
2 is making sure you get all the way through into the table.
Come on Niels... it took me years to get good at jumping, you're making it too easy for them. Great instructional video
I'm surprised we don't see this technique more often these days ...20 years ago it was very popular in the jump stick crowd.
Very nice video, which I wish was posted over the weekend, because in my Monday league, my 8 Ball opponent lucked into a safety almost identical to what you set up. The difference was that my 8 ball was closer to the pocket, which made me afraid the cue ball would jump off the table, so I kicked at the 8 ball instead. Made a legal hit, but would've preferred a game-winning jump shot.
Neils you are a blessing to the pool community 🙏
I love this shot and it’s been a great bar bet for me for years! When you have it down, you can even jump with half a ball distance between them. Now that the secret’s out, looks like I have to come up with another bet. 😜
Thanks. You always explain in such a way that's easily understood. Especially by amateurs like me.
Thanks Cere! Much appreciated 😀
thanks niels! id love to see a jump draw shot video!
Great video
Grazie Niels per la precisa spiegazione!! ora il difficile è riuscire a replicarlo
Yet again a great lesson by our fav Niels! ❤
Would you share your advice how to warm up for a game if you do not have a chance go do it at a table, when you go straight into a match? :)
很棒的教學
tuyệt đó, đây là những gì mình cần biết. Bây giờ sẽ bắt đầu vào tập luyện, cảm ơn Niels #Fromvietnamwithlove❤
So lot to learn :)
Much love from Zuid Holland, Hillegom
I have missed this exact jump for the winning 8 ball..failed to clear the blocker ball. Thanks for the tips Terminator!

This is awesome! Thank you! I can't wait to use this in a league match and scratch in a whole new way lol
update: did not get it done in 10 tries. Won't give up yet tho!
As a tall player ive always had an easy time jumping. Its the aim thats tough. Enjoying all youre videos neils.
Thanks Matthew! Glad you're enjoying them 😀
Great video. Do you have a video on normal jumps?
I love how u reacted upset with every fake fails
🙌😅😄
hello there, what tip did you use for jump cue.
Great Lesson, Sir. 👏
Do you have any advice on this technique for "cross-dominant"-people? I always shift my head aside, after the aim, to execute the jump comfortably, but then my aim gets messed up most of the time.
🥴
❤️ Thanks in advance &
Cheers from Ruhrpott ✌️
Related: Playing 25 years, I am right hand left eye dominant Own a table with much time to practice, I continually miss inch off the rail shots (light) 9 out of 10 times. I've switched to left handed the last couple of days, a bit awkward but seeing and pocketing the balls much better. Other than Jim Morra, has anyone switched from right to left hand with success?
A BCA instructor Denny Stewart showed me that jump shot, it's very easy and accurate. You can also do that jump with English
Mucho bueno.
Well, Terminator, this shot and safety play are the two parts of my game that need improvement. First Ten ball tournament, in fact, first actual Ten ball game is happening next month
Hi Neils, what is the minimum distance between the balls to achieve that jump? a hug from Argentina
I tried to learn jump shots, thought I had it, and then completely lost the move to the point of blaming the cue. This may help - I'll give it a try at the weekend.
I have a decent amount of success getting elevation with the dart stroke, but I struggle with aim. I'm right-handed, but left-eye dominant so I find it hard to get my vision center above the cue with the dart stroke. Any tips on how to do that?
It’s gonna be a difficult look. I’m the same way. Right handed but left eye dominant. So you’re not gonna be able to get your chin over far enough. So the only way to get it is to just practice practice practice with the difference look. The angle will be different for sure. Or learn to jump left handed!
I'm a short guy. Its hard for me to do the regular cuing jump. Was wondering if i could do this technique for for all jump shots just adjust the elevation?
Niels, do you use the side arm jump much? Im seeing more and more pros favor that style over the dart
I am no good at it to be honest. It’s very perwonal
This is Great tips because I can only use the Dart Technique
Great to hear Bob!! It's very handy knowledge 🔥🔥
Will a kamui hard tip be good or it needs to be the plastic kind?
Hi Jeremy!
Try it out :)
I find Kamui tips the best ;) Kamui Soft Brown on my playing cue and use their break tip on my break cue. On my jump cue a use a phenolic tip.
Greetz,
Niels 😃
Keren Mr
😊😊😊😊
But first: Visualise the Q-direction line - and make sure, you are hitting the white perfectly in the middle for straight shots (common mistake)
From Duong Quoc Hoang FC Viet Nam with love 🥰🥰🥰
what jump cue is that?
Which jump cue do you use Neils?
How to do it when your right handed and left eye dominant. And right eye is not working properly.
Everytime i try a jump thats this close i end up "squirting" the ball out from in between the tip and the felt. Never even leaves the table. If i aim lower it does weird things but no hop. If i aim higher it feels bad on the cue and the ball gets pinned between the cue an felt
Also, what tip do you use for your jump cue?
I use a phenolic tip 😀👍
I can do the jumping part, but aiming is still my kryptonite.
Since i have no focus on my right eye (right hander) i still haven't manage to tune my stance and start potting .
I am aware that you are not able to help me here, kind of asking the subscribers if someone knows about other players that made video that can help my situation 😄
Albin and the few other right handers with the dominant left eye don't do videos 😬
If somebody has the info/video, please let me know
Thanks
He called that a jump stick. Is there really a special stick for jumping balls or is he using a kids stick? It does look a little shorter.
Hi there!
Thanks for watching. Glad to hear you like the video!!
I'm using my Longoni Break & Jump cue. Feel free to check it out at my web shop right here! It's awesome 😎😎🚀

I learned to jump a ball, 30 years ago, from a pro. Using a jump cue, is pretty much cheating. The jump cue has so little mass, jumping a ball becomes effortless. You should be able to jump a ball with >1” separation, consistently. Why not just use a shaft with a hollow extended end protector, for even less mass? 🙄
Try jumping with a full cue. The closer your jump, the more skill it takes.
In most instances, you only need to jump the edge of a ball. If you find yourself needing to jump a whole ball often, you are doing something wrong.
Didn't help an f'ing thing. There is clearly something missing from your steps. I have a Jerico jump cue and there is no way to remotely even get the cue off the table following the three steps in this video.
What kind of tip do you have on your shaft?
Dude I can jump a piece of chalk - you need to practice more
That was a perfect shot from the Terminator 👍
I would like to add one more thing to make it even steadier. Lock ur elbow to ur side of the body so u don't have any space between the body and ur upper arm. Good advice 😉
" I can learn you this shot in under 5 minutes."
The video is 5:02 long. You are a liar.😂😂😘
😂
But he talked for a few seconds before teaching it so it’s under 5 minutes. Do not doubt the Terminator or you know what will happen.
@@goba44 😂😂😂👍
Thanks!
Thank you very much Eddy!!
