The built in comp was genius. They are no doubt proven to help shoot flatter and stay on target as well as get simultaneous shots off more rapidly. It would only help you in a life or death situation. Fifty extra bucks to increase my percentages of hitting my target in a life or death situation is cheap for me.
I think the XL grip is superior to the macro for edc. If you carry appendix, it's easier to sit down and bend over to pick sruff up. You can always add a 17 round magazine if you want that capacity, and make it shorter when you don't.
I currently carry an X with the 17 round in it. I absolutely love the flexibility that the X offers with the short slide and longer grip but being able to add the longer mags.
Tactical Development sells a basepad that allows use of LX 15 round mags in the X-Macro I have 3. They work. I believe there are 3rd party baseplate as well to allow 12 roundLX mags to be used with the X-Macro. These all require the use of basepad replacements.
The best part of the Xmacro grip is that you can eject a magazine without breaking your grip - useful when running range drills. With the X/XL grip (and the rose) your pinky will often hang up the mag from dropping unless you open your hand slightly. In a CQB where you need to pull your CCW for a life saving event, statistically you don't need to change magazines - so having the problem with ejecting a mag isn't so bad if you're just using the smaller frame gun as a CCW and you're trying to maximize comfort and minimize printing.
If the slide determines the model nomenclature then I guess I can agree, but I always thought it was barrel length that determines size.. Apparently it's just whatever the manufacturer wants to call them😂
With the comp it is the slide length because the barrel length is shorter to allow room for the comp in the same size footprint. If you had an external comp the comp and the barrel would be a bit longer than the slide.
Have you had any rust issues with either of your Sig P365? Seems a lot of people are experiencing excessive rust issues. I am interested in a P365 XMacro but not necessarily the comp model but am not interested in getting a gun I need to have to oil ever day to avoid getting rust across the frame.
I have not had any issues with any of my P365s. I don't clean them as much as I probably should. I usually clean them once every 6 months or so even on the one I carry every day. I think the biggest reason people are seeing the rust is they have a leather holster against their body and it is contaminating the leather then pushing it to the firearm. I only carry with all kydex holsters. Hopefully that helps you out. Is there a reason you don't want the comp? I absolutely love the comp and would recommend it for a carry gun.
Love my P365 AXG Legion! It will be my edc for years to come

I 100% agree. It was amazing how much my wife loved the internal comp as well.
The rose looks so good. The 365 is a fantastic platform
The rose shoots so well too. It’s the reason I got a comped macro.
Love these reviews.

That is very true. I love how the X-Macro grip fells. The biggest problem the little extra length can print a lot more depending on how you carry.
Bought a 365XL, had been wanting one for a while. A week later I bought the X-Macro TAC-OPS! Switching from my Glock 19 EDC to the Tac-ops
I love my XMacro. I am working on building it out before I swap over from my X but it will become my EDC at some point.

@@orangetactical I'll probably end up with the XL version! 👍
Based on how small the differences is in size might as well get an axg legion and get rid of p365xl..

I haven't in a year so far. Carry in a leather holster that soaks in sweat on 110 degree summer days.
I am glad that you haven’t had any issues with it. Also great to know you carry in a leather holster too.
@@orangetactical JM4 tactical, made locally to me. They have a website and have sold many of their holsters nationwide.
Awesome thanks for the information. I will have to take a look at them.
No need for the Macro when my x/xl grip module can take the 17rd mags.
That is true. I run my X with the 17rd mags frequently but I liked the grip on the XMacro more if I want a full length mag.
