Graham, OMG. This video saved my life! I have been trying to use ClickFunnels, but was having trouble with glitches and slow/unhelpful tech support so I moved to Kajabi for something that had to be done and beautiful with a quick turnaround. I purchased Kajabi but am deathly afraid to use it since I am not a tech person. Glad this video popped up on my feed.
I’ve been starting to learn kajabi and I was most of the way done setting up my opt in through their “freebie pipeline” as opposed to what you described in this video. Is there an advantage to doing it this way you described? They seem similar, but I don’t want to miss out on something. Thanks for the helpful content!!
No "one way" to do it. Their pipelines are great.
Thanks for this vid. Way you have it, they can get the download by putting in any email address, then they are taken to the download page. So they can put in a fake email and get the product, right? Or they could get the opt-in confirm email, and not opt-in and confirm because they already got the free download, right? Is there any way with Kajabi where someone could enter email and then get an email which both confirms their subscription and gives them link to download? One email from Kajabi (not two) that gives them the download?
Otherwise I guess if you want to be sure they opt in and confirm their subscription, you would need to have them click to opt in, and then trigger the email with the free download?
Great question. Yes, Kajabi can do Double Opt In which is what you are describing where they have to confirm their email address. However I only send the lead magnet to their email address so if they enter a fake one they won't get it.

For those that would prefer double opt-in.
The way to do it is to create your form using double opt-in. Go down to automations in the tabs. Pick subscribe to an email campaign.
Obviously you have to create an email campaign in advance for that particular lead magnet. Could be just one email or a series.
When someone enters their email for the lead magnet they will get a double opt-in "confirmation" email to confirm their email addy, subscription etc.
When they click the link in the double opt-in email to confirm, they will automatically be added to the email campaign you created.
In that first email of the campaign will be the lead magnet link or download they requested.

Would it be a good idea to do a FB live video And ALive You Tube before doubt Lead magnet segment? Overkill? Just trying to figure out how to pull as many potential interested participants as possible.

Yes - if you cancel Kajabi your course disappears. Of course you still own the videos so you can use them somewhere else if you wanted.

So my question is... what am I missing? Where are the subscribers info going and how can I make sure they are automatically added to my Peoples list?
Hmmm - when someone subscribes they are automatically under your people tab.

Yes! I migrated over to Kajabi for email as well. Works great.

Graham Cochrane I wrote that before you talked about it at the end. But I’ve listened a few more times and to some or your other posts and and seeing how you do it. Starting to make sense. Buying the domain seems like a great idea.
Just signed up, walking through this. Getting confused on difference between "Download" button on thank you page and sending them an email with download link. I followed all the instructions and sent my self test email. When I click on download in the email I get a 404. Is support going to be able to walk me through this stuff during trial?

Right now, I create my Opt In Forms and my landing pages using mailchimp.
Yes. If you go with Kajabi for your course you likely will want to eventually move your site and email over to it. Save you money and much easier. But you don't HAVE to right away. I didn't. I started with Kajabi just for my courses, then my email, then my site.

How to stop people from giving fake emails?
You can use the Double Opt In setting in Kajabi where they have to confirm their email address.
